Is it easier on your end for me to do a $20 check for each one, and then in the memo write "for AwesomeDude98", then "for CoolBro66" on the next one, and so forth?

Yes. Personal, business, or USPS Money Orders. No branded (Walmart / WU) money orders. No cash. You can send cash, but I've told the mail guy he can just buy coffee with it.
