Supporting the Forum

Threw you a Visa card in a private message @Null.

Thank you again for everything you do in running the Farms and dealing with the constant bullshit. :semperfidelis:

Edit: Hey @Null, don't think you caught it. Check your messages.

I sent @Null a check in the mail a few weeks ago as per the address on page 1, sent him a PM, still nothing. Maybe I just should’ve done what you did.

Haven’t checked my bank balance to see if got cleared yet though.

Sorry, I have you on my to-do list. I need to check my virtual office intake sometime soon.

Don't know how new this is, but you can set Brave to give you up to 10 ads per hour now, was 5 before.

Over time, if you notice that you are starting to get fewer ads, set a VPN to a different country; it might be that you've received all of the ads available to you for your location.

What about Zelle? I see you have it listed, and I realize my bank offers it, so is that still a viable option for you?

Just to verify since I know things get fucked up from time to time, do the Brave ad rewards autocontribute or direct tip still function?

I think you need to be braver/slimier when it comes to shilling. I bet only a tiny portion of the people willing to help are actually mobilized to help. Not trying to tell you what to do, but I think you could wring a lot more money out of the site with some simple changes. Case in point: adding a gay weekly donation progress bar to my site dramatically increased donations.

I'm often surprised by how unaware people in this sphere are. I've seen people in MATI stream comments have no idea what kiwifarms is. Likewise, I've seen people on here have no idea what MATI is. I've even seen long-term users have no idea who janny jewsh is despite responding/reacting to your comments on Null. To this day one can find comments from people just discovering there's a way to support you, or that the forum is in danger due to frivolous lawsuits. Many people here do not actively follow you or otherwise use the site enough to be aware of the issues you face and the avenues of support that are available.

Most people are lazy and won't do shit to help unless the current problems and support options are aggressively shoved in their faces.

If the site was mine, every single time someone logged in they'd have to click past a screen that links all your shit. Everything. Youtube, fediverse, coin addresses, etc. It would also quickly mention the lawsuits and other potential threats. Everyone would always be up to speed. This way no one has any excuse to be unaware of the situation and you'd get the maximum support possible. I bet that alone would at minimum double your income. I've noticed you don't like to be annoying though, hence the no superchats while streaming thing, but I nevertheless think forcing your users to somehow see this stuff on a regular basis would be beneficial. As it stands, you're basically hoping someone thinks to donate and then goes out of their way to find out how.

I would at least try more aggressive grifting methods for a week or two, just to see if the increase in income is notable. At the very, very, very least, I'd put some or all of the "supporting the forum" addresses at the top of the site instead of the bottom. Maybe have them rotate like the quotes do to preserve space? Cram the support thread into the featured content area, too!

But, anyway. Thems my two unsolicited cents. Good luck fren. Sorry if you've heard it all before.

Hello yes it is I, Another Retard, with yet another Retard Idea on how to deal with money issues.

Since the site and you as a person have been blackballed from most third party networks and payment processors, would Skordas and/or Hardin be open to receiving payments for your legal fees directly from users? I don't know what exactly your payment structure with either of them is, but I do know technically third party payments to lawyers are not illegal, both in terms of paying a lawyer to represent someone else and paying a lawyer to cover outstanding debt after a trail, as long as certain conditions are understood and ethics are met. My line of thought is that this provides a direct route to get money from users towards the legal fees with nothing for assblasted trannies to report and nothing for Jewish bankers to shut down. It would be a multitude of private payments to a lawyer dealt with on an individual basis. Of course there are multiple flaws with this idea. I don't know how many people would be willing to do something like call a lawyer's office and give the secretary their credit card info with instructions on how much money to direct towards the fund. I don't know if either lawyer would want to deal with large numbers of internet speds either trying to call or going on their website to throw money at them. I would worry about enemies of the site deciding to fuck around and doing chargebacks. And I guess ultimately, if the powers that be really wanted to, they could simply target Skordas/Hardin and refuse to process any payments to them and they would end up in the same boat as you. But because it's a somewhat unusual idea that may not have been explored before, I thought I'd throw it out there.

This is actually an excellent idea. If either of them use any platform like Lawpay, Cleo, or even PayPal it would be really simple.

That being said you could do this without asking to make it a ‘thing’- just call the office and ask to make a payment on Joshua Moon’s bill. Plenty of people do it for the attorneys I work with- moms, friends, loan agents. Most attorneys don’t care where the money is from, they just care that it gets paid.

For those who can't figure out crypto, I made this hopefully-understandable guide on how I send crypto (lemme know if this doesn't work, @Null, and I'll repent of my exceptionalism. I know there are other ways, this is just how I do it).

Step 1: go to Coinbase and create an account. It will ask to verify your identity, your location/residence, link to your bank accounts, and set up 2-factor authentication, and all that. It should walk you through it.

Even if it links to your phone or identity, don't worry, there's a workaround for that. Even Null has mentioned there has been difficulty paying him from Coinbase directly.

Step 2: once you have your account set up, it's time buy some Bitcoin. Click on this button:

And choose "buy crypto".
Screenshot_20211028-170122_Brave.jpg

Select the amount you want in whatever non-crypto currency you use and purchase. Wait until your funds have been verified. Some nickels-and-dimes amount of funds may get lost due to fees and price fluctuations.

Step 3: Setting up a BitAmp wallet

BitAmp basically lets you create a disposable crypto wallet with no ties to your identity. You'll use this as an intermediary account between Coinbase and Null.

All you need to do to create a wallet is auto-generate and copy-paste a seed of random words. This will create your BitAmp wallet address, which will be a big long number you can copy and paste.

Step 4: send crypto to yourself from Coinbase to BitAmp

Copy your BitAmp address, then go to Coinbase and select "send crypto". Paste your BitAmp address as the recipient. Again, it may take some time to verify.

Step 5: To Josh

Once you've received the funds into your BitAmp wallet, go there and send it to Null's wallet address.

Hope that helps. Clear as mud? If I can figure out, you probably can too.

@Null I hope this is the right thread to post this but in your Oktober 29th MATI stream, you were talking about making lolcow playing cards.
It reminded me of the Personal Indentification Playing Cards of top politicians and generals they handed out during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

I'd be definitely down to buy a deck or two and I think pretty much everybody who bought a coin would also buy the playing cards.
I know that there could be issues with printing the cards, copyright and a whole lot of other stuff and I understand if it's not possible, but you should definitely look into it.

Do NOT use Coinbase to send josh bitcoin unless you want to be banned from Coinbase.

I know Josh said not to send directly from Coinbase, hence sending it to your own BitAmp wallet first. BitAmp lets you create multiple burner wallets. You don't have to stick to just one.

Will they still follow it through the blockchain after it has left your Coinbase account?

Pardon my naivete, crypto is still new to me. Again, I was just trying to show how I do it as a basic, idiot-simple tutorial.
