So I watched this video colonelj uploaded recently about josh saying he needs for this forum make more cash.

My two cents of advice is:

1. Undo the autistic decision to remove notifications for when someone likes your post, I personally don't give a fuck about reaction likes but i know a lot of people do and i remember how exciting it felt seeing that red notification icon when i was a teenager using a known pokemon xenoforo forum.

2. Implement a way for users to buy some sort of award that they can then give to replies and posts they like, yeah it sounds redditish but it has a lot of potential, i very often come across some replies that make laugh so much they just upshift my entire mood for the day and I'd love to see that guy rewarded,
Same thing goes for guys that contribute or post bombshells of information in regards to some lolcow or something.

rating notifications being hard disabled has eliminated 99% of complaints about revenge ratings and other autistic shit i will never voluntarily put myself in a position to deal with again. i've even found myself watching threads more and engaging the site differently. sorry, just get over it.

There's all sorts of stupid cosmetic shit we could do if people could just buy points. It's not a new idea. It's just not possible without a payment processor and I'm not writing someway to spend XMR on Xenforo because we're banned from their marketplace.

Some sort of crypto stuff, nft type shit, I just checked and reddit does nfts too, it would take some programming but could be done for sure, kiwicoin type shit, something like what entropy did, you buy forum credits and spend them after, could start by something as archaic as sending some crypto and an email to mods and they credit your account with kiwicoins, you can then use those coins to buy reaction awards that turn the frame of a reply into a golden one or whatever.

But yeah if kiwifarms was a subreddit it would easily be the highest grossing in gold rewards, the point being and even beyond money or whatnot users want to be rewarded and want attention, especially zoomer types, the type of demographic that would consist the new blood Josh said he wants to attract, removing like notificatios is a step to the wrong direction.

A good observation to my point is that the new generation lolcows like Daniel Larson and worldoftshirts etc, have an audience of zoomers and those zoomers stay on tiktok and mostly socialize on reddit subreddits, instead of kiwifarms, they stay in reddit even though those subreddits get banned all the time, this place needs to escape the limitations of the xenophoro to thrive.

Damnit chat. I've realized too late that I could have gotten Null a Buc-ee's gift card instead of the one for the cheese shop that I sent him.

Sadly Buc-ee's are a bit sparse in the southeast.

As an aside, I'm really trying to figure out if I can safely do a "How to buy crypto and send it to your favorite site/streamer." for dummies video. Maybe with a couple ATMs and a cash transaction.

Throne is also ridiculously expensive. They're not so much privacy first as "Skim off the top when egirls milk the mentally ill and children"-first. Expecting any kind of morality from an Onlyfans-kind of business would be insane.

Also, there is a non-zero chance Nick R. will donate a lavishly expensive chair to Josh thinking he's scoring an epic win on a fatty.
