Surrogacy and IVF Debate Thread

Within Canada IVF and surrogacy are both legal and regulated, even though Canada has ratified the Covention on the Rights of the Child. There is room within the argument for surrogacy to change the letter of the law to allows legal provisions for surrogacy, if that becomes absolutely necessary.
Wait, you are canadian? Are you really going to use Canada as an example of moral medical practices?

Yeah, to some degree. Usually they do it out of desperation, but yes, deciding to sell your baby is evil, and even the women who consent are harmed. Not everything that people can consent to is OK for them. Mothers should be with their children. The child had a right to his/her mother. And selling your own baby is abominable.

There's a lot of guilt to go around. The whole thing is a gross godless joke of modern society that no one who participates in is clean from.

But obviously the worst offenders are the buyers, whose money puts the whole thing in motion.

I don't really have a particular disdain for gay men, although I think on average they're more inclined to be degenerates and certainly misogynists than straight people. Surrogacy is a disgrace on its own, without touching that argument.

There is literally nothing wrong with IVF. Why is this even a debate? "Muh nature" and "(((Jesus))) made you infertile so deal with it!" is like saying you should die of cancer because (((Jesus))) gave it to you and medicine is unnatural. Oh noes, they dispose of a few hundred cells that theoretically could divide enough times to make a baby! Many people who can pay for IVF are the sort of successful people you want breeding. It's kind of like abortion, where the people getting abortions are the sort of inferior people you don't want breeding. It's also increasing the white birth rate too.

It works the other way too. Why is adoption so good and moral when you're literally being a cuck and raising a child who isn't yours? People should always have the right to perpetuate their genes unless their genes are inferior.

If you absolutely need to use modern medicine to help you perpetuate your genes because you are not capable of doing so otherwise, I would argue that your genes are already inferior

OOC What if your inability to do so was not because of genetics, but due to, say, an injury?

Not saying I'm either yay or nay regarding the subject, mind. Just regarding what causes infertility.
