Don't have a Publix near me but my local grocery stores actually make pretty decent sushi. Granted it's mostly stuff anyone can make like California Rolls but they do offer stuff like Salmon rolls and such at a pretty decent price of like 5-7 bucks for a pretty large sized meal. The more 'fancy' grocery store does the same thing but with some eel rolls for like 8 bucks. Just make sure to eat it within a day of buying because it turns rock hard afterwards. Is trout sushi a thing? Because that same place sells trout that I know for a fact is super fresh and might be interesting to test out.
yeah the publix near me isn't bad at sushi, but there's a sushi buffet like, four doors down from there, and they do take-out at prices comparable to to publix's sushi but better shit, and even though publix is ebt-able I can't, in good conscience, use my food stamps to buy sushi
any time I do sushi outside of Really Good Place or All-You-Can-Eat it's that frozen "sushi" crap from Aldi
it's not _great_ but it's 15 pieces of sushi-inspired roll at a good price, I go for the shrimp one because fuck cream cheese up its stupid ass
one time they had the temporary Cool Temporary Aldi Thing of... I don't remember exactly what it was, but it wasn't their shrimp or other one, shit was okay but not worth the extra fifty cents over the shrimp ones
My boyfriend took me to a sushi restaurant Tuesday to try it for the first time. I had tempura chicken sushi and one with eel, crab and avocado they were divine. The hand wrapped crab one sucked though.
