I just had no idea how pervasive or how significant it actually was. The USA essentially bullshitted its way onto the world stage, so I was looking for changes, or targeted influence by the United States - what the actual goal was. Financially, the USA was roughly on the same trajectory as before - export-wise, vehicles and oil were already growing before the war and it only seems to have "shaved a couple of years off" - i.e, the war just sped up American economic growth.
