Yeah, about that, i have been doing some archiving work myself, but yt-dlp locks to 360p quality for the audio-video file, and downloading the high-res audio and video files separately and then splicing them together is a big pain in the ass, is there other, clever way to download the high-res files of off youtube?
Weird, yt-dlp is completely buckbroken with that one. I got 720p version only from other sources.
Looks like Firefox branches don't work. Had to use Firefox specifically. Learned something new today.
As far as I know depending on the format and resolution you have to download them separately and combine them into one.
Thanks to everyone who helped for the archive effort and all the other archivers. I now have every Synth video in 1080p/1440p. The final size came in only at 191GB which was rather surprising since I expected well over 200 gigs in size. For comparison 191 gigs is about 15 Synth streams. The average stream being around 10+gigs in size.

Literally all you have to do is log in to your Odysee account, authorise it to access your Google account, and all your videos will be automatically mirrored to Odysee. Same exact thing with Rumble. It takes about as much time to do as me explaining it and half the effort. If he's too fucking lazy to do so much as that, he deserves to have his channel wiped.
He's always been pretty upfront about viewing his own content as disposable so it doesn't surprise me that he doesn't care about preservation. I definitely agree it's shortsighted though. What other career is he going to pursue at this point? Maybe he thinks he can just move entirely to streaming on another platform, although I don't see why he wouldn't just keep the Synthetic Man name for that.
