It's been obvious he doesn't really want to do the whole shtick anymore for a while. It's a bummer he has written off classic game reviews due to low viewership because that's most likely what he wants to do. Make videos on fucking whatever he likes and do streams on the side.

In part it seems like he kind of hopes he gets banned so he can sort of reset his online persona and go back to that kind of thing.

I agree tbh. He has extremely normie tastes in gaming. No offense. His thoughts on classic Monster Hunter left me dumb struck. "After it's just doing the same thing over and over again." That's no different than modern Monster Hunter. Monster Hunter World repeats monsters to in high rank. The point of high rank in all Monster Hunters is taking you off your training wheels and giving you actual challenge.

It's not like high rank in MH3U (the game he was discussing) didn't have new variants either. It had the same variants as MHW high rank: pink Rathien, azure rathalos, etc, etc...

Devin and synth also seem to have this misconception that classic Monster Hunter fans only prefer the older games due to the inflated health bars, when the most beloved classic Monster Hunter aka 4, cut healthbars in half.

One of the major issues with modern Monster Hunter is that they've absolutely nerfed all the returning monsters. They're much slower and dumber. Tigrex in iceborn for example, is an absolute joke.
Synth might've realized that if he actually beat MH3U high rank or played 4.
