Does anyone really think that they're going to stop supporting Trump over this? It's like believing that Brianna Wu was never going to give Nintendo another dime.

Next week he'll probably do something that gets him back in their good graces, and they'll deny they ever betrayed him (of course, we have the evidence against that).

But then again, considering what happened with Steve Bannon, maybe the alt-right's on its way out with Trump. And perhaps it should have happened. Leaders like that always double-cross the true believers first.

It's not hard to betray the true believers when they are too stupid to understand basic geopolitics. There's a difference between not wanting any foreign wars and demanding the US cease all military efforts outside the states, how do these people not understand that?
 
Assad is a smug cocksucker and probably did it to provoke us. After all, Russia and Syria said they 100% removed all their chemical weapons. Then they go and do this. They really left him with no choice, he couldn't just not do something after they said that all their chem weapons were gone. And good Sarin/VX isn't that easy to produce. And the US doesn't need to false flag anything, we've done plenty of wars the obvious way.

That said, the proliferation of chemical weapons is a big deal and a totally justifiable reason to change your stance on an issue. Not getting involved in someone's petty conflicts is one-thing but the major world states aren't just going to sit-back and let chemical weapons be used without consequences.

I don't recall us bombing the SAA before. Regardless, nobody died in the attack. WWIII isn't going to start over blowing up 20 planes and some fuel. The US went out of its way to warn Russia and not even target their shit. We just destroyed Syrian assets. There's also no plans to do more. Of course this could escalate, but Assad and Putin would be stupid to do it besides posturing. No soldiers died and China is now in Syria.

Assad doesn't care if Syria is a smoking crater, just his smoking crater.

Getting back on subject, however..... Yeah, I still don't like or trust Trump, but give the guy a fucking medal for actually having the cahones to stand up to Syria like that - something a real leader should do, even if the options suck. The options sucked, yes - but the fact that no one got hurt, except the gas machines, means there should be no controversy going on here. At all, honestly - especially not to the point that we're comparing cartoon villains to human beings like we're all still in primary school.
