Oh man, that wasn't even the funniest. Unashamed fapbait at its best. It's a fusion of hyper, inflation, lactation, amputation and probably a few more -ations that flew over my head. :story:

In short, he makes the character nothing more than something to be a piece for fetishes. One can only imagine how that would be deflected, saying that the character isn't some sort of fapbait.

Sorry, went to the store. So he DID deflect it by saying that since the characters are aliens and "the god that created them is a pervert", their anatomy is built correctly for their species, and so essentially the bodies themselves can't be held to human standards of sexuality. Of course, when told that Evolution wouldnt have allowed tits to evolve to a size that would naturally snap the persons back, he just threw insults like "What do you have mastrophobia or something" and eventually bawwleeted all comments

@SYRSA hey man, was in the stream when Vinny played your game and I will be the first to admit some folks in the chat were just being assholes, but, that doesn't mean Vinny's criticisms weren't legitimate, though, as far as I can tell you seem to be indicating you've learned from your outburst and I always give folks the benefit of the doubt.

Anyways, my two main criticisms from a gameplay standpoint would be the lack of any lore material in the actual game, you can't expect people to look up your Deviant Art page for context on what's going on in the game and, as you saw with Vinny's stream, even if a game is open-ended and exploration based the player still needs some context as to why they're exploring or to the setting they're in. If you don't provide that the player is just going to get lost.

As for my second criticism, the universe just felt too empty. For an exploration type game to be exciting you need to have shit for the player to find, otherwise it just feels like aimless wandering and that's no fun.

I get you're passionate about your project, to be honest that's a good thing, and I get being over-zealous and wanting exposure right away but you can't rush things. Work on your game for awhile, for a good long while, another year maybe; flesh it out, put more stuff for the player to find, provide context and maybe touch up the physics engine a bit and you'll have something that could be really fun if you nail it.

My view is that because much of the lore of Zerahypt is found in your DA gallery instead of in Zerahypt, we have to take your game and your art as a package deal and consider both. I'll admit that my biggest criticism has to do with how you treat breasts (both in Zerahypt and in your art), but I'm a boob-haver myself, so hopefully you understand why I have concerns that you're not treating boob-havers quite respectfully.

The jiggle physics are... really bad. Really distracting. It's the very first thing that stands out about the game and honestly, it's enough on its own to make me want to avoid the game, no matter how good the future gameplay might be. Normally I wouldn't go so far as to call jiggly breasts fetish fuel, but judging by all the weird boobs in your art, it really seems like that's what it's meant to be. I'd really rather you just admit it when asked about it and accept the criticism for including fetishistic content in a game that you say will be meant for general audiences.

Yeah, someone asked him to verify but he hasn't yet. Also, he said he was going to bed half an hour ago but is still viewing this thread. So who knows?
 
@SYRSA Also, if you want an example of a game that, I think at least, is similar to what you're going for and did it very well look into Starflight for the old Sega Genesis. Could provide some good inspiration even if the technology is very dated by this point.

The Admin a page or two back asked for a social profile that you can update to prove that it's you. I'm not sure, but you should ask them. Verification is so people can't impersonate you, so you might wanna do that.
