Why System Shock though? Isn't Dead Space more popular?
Yeah… is System Shock really a series that exists in the public consciousness? Just seems like a weird IP to pick for an adaptation.

Though in a way I guess it’s smart. Less popularity of the source material = less people complaining about the adaptation.

There's no way these people could afford that kind of license.
Plus the original game is getting a remake soon. The demo was outstanding and I'm looking forward to it.

Bioshock would be a more interesting idea to adapt into a mini-series (PROPERLY that is, otherwise dont fucking bother). See Jack be expanded as a character and the clues of the twists we get at the end, like Atlas not being who he seems to be.

Fuck me, this will be awful probably. And they are counting on not too much mainstream backlash because almost nobody gives a shit about system shock anymore...even tho so many classics we got were inspired by it.

Why can't they just fuck up Bioshock instead? They could replace the Ayn Rand character with Trump and nothing of value would be lost.

Now I want to see Trump doing Andrew Ryan's final speech

Maybe if this show becomes popular Nightdive will finally have a release date for the remake instead of changing it from Sept. 30 to TBA.

On one side, Nightdive can do wonders like the Quake remaster so Im ok with them taking some time.

On the other, gotta be careful its not being named named System Shock Forever

I'm just gonna cope by pretending this show doesn't exist. I dont need to see some plucky director trying to turn System shock into a "capitalism bad" story and "a totally not a antifa standin" hacke taking on evil transphobes vilians that are like totally evil because he doesn't use the right pronouns to his workers.

Black female hacker Wakanda Ciaglow-Obama takes on the rogue AI T.R.U.M.P on board the space station KKK Murica. Witness as she fights and outwits the crew mutated by the mysterious MAGA-virus and uncovers the station's horrifying past!
