So I know this thread is sick of the female space marine convo at this point. This is about thw custodes however. Theyre supposed to be getting some new models since there was a teaser image this summer in the horus heresy preview of a guardian spear. So whether or not there is a female model/s when that wave is shown off I feel like may indicate where gw plans to go from here as far as pandering to the woke crowd goes. Im not very optimistic but I still felt like pointing it out.
I imagine a certain black library author will write a book with a femstode character first so they can give it a mini like the watchers of the throne characters.

So because Archon Studio the company producing the Starcraft miniatures game couldn't avoid shitting the bed
They've kicked things off with a limited tradeshow(Spiel) and online exclusive Zeratul miniature, priced at $35 which seems reasonable. Except till you go to checkout

$29 shipping to the US before any duties/taxes. I've read it's $90CAD(total) if you're trying to get it up there. Naturally this has led to quite a bit of complaining because $64USD for a 3.5 inch tall character miniature is even currently beyond GW asks for, and shipping such a thing certainly shouldn't cost $29 to get from Poland to North America. So much for first impressions for early buyers outside of Europe.
(apparently it's 10 britbucks to ship to the UK from what I've seen, no idea if that's overpriced or not).

And also here’s another thing I want to bring up, boycotting gw is all well and good and I’ve done it for several years at this point. The problem is that it seems to me at least, alternate settings/games that haven’t also been taken by woke rot are slim to none. And that’s not to mention the community itself seems absolutely infested with troons, it used to be just online but more and more I see them in real life game stores. Maybe I’m just being blackpilled but is there anything to be done?

pirate shit out of spite, convince people to play older games, just wait it out i suppose, odds are there is a yoyo out of retards posting like they are online due to whatever reason

Jon Del here just made a recent video on Troon Crusade.
i get it that culture war retards cant be happy by definition but TC got big because it actually managed to appeal to normies who didnt care about discord drama and wanted an out for 40k, but business wise its really stumbling and being retarded in-spite of their gojillion dollars they raised and capital they probably keep getting because of model sales, i doubt they have spent most of that warchest on all the con shit they have done or single plastic kit (as the WGA one was mostly from a youtube channel guy). Their physical model rewards are either still horrible or not even shipped yet, with no end to those woes since they insist on Only-Games.
If you want actual chud success stories, the ACKS guy Alexander Macris, in spite of being persona non-grata because of his gamergay takes 10 years ago, keeps getting great kickstarter success on most of his books, OPR is pozzed as a community but afaik the heads have never really gotten into a spat with dem dirty right wingers

Have you tried wargames centered around napoleonic wars or something? Or anything naval-themed. I doubt these have a noticeable woke audience.
Main option for that is warlord games. And whilst John Stallard has come out against wokeism, there are signs that the company itself is giving way. Notably Konflikt 47 2nd edition, their game that has gotten decent atttention the last few months, completely removed the nazis from the game replacing them with something called the "green vault". All the units still use stahlhelms etc, so it really just comes off as politically motivated change. Also a more minor instance this year, their war of the samurai supplement came out with yasuke as the special miniature alongside the book.

So the minis for the Starcraft tabletop game finally got shown off at Spiel 2025 after being announced what seems like a year and a half ago, being produced by Archon Miniatures.
No. We have Tryannids at home.

Depending on how stupidly expensive I might get some terran marines and protoss zelots.

I present to you, reddit, the rpg.
I took a look at the Kickstarter and the lore primer they have is quite fleshed out.

Humanity was living in a transhumanist future until a 12 KB packet of data caused the artificial intelligence managing everything to go haywire.

The only group that was able to stop the AI was an extremist, staunchly human supremacist faction. They rode their popularity into power and put all nonhumans into servant roles, especially since they could not rely on AI for those roles. Mutant labor, alien-human hybrids, sentient robots, resurrected Neanderthals, and uplifted animals. All of which are starting to fight back, but will also clash with each other.

The game seems to be more of a skirmish miniatures game with more rpg elements than say, Necromunda.

Isn’t that just Eclipse Phase with more aliens and as a minis game?

Looks like rogue trader with more rpg elements I guess.

Uh, pretty much. That and a nice injection of reddit politics.

Still sounds like Eclipse Phase, the main protagonist faction is a bunch of anarch communist with a reputation based economy fighting corporations and a bio-conservative/conservative stand in military junta. Even reviewers at Something Aweful disagreed either the politics.

We have Eclipse Phase at home tier grift. In fairness I gave it a shot, and it mainly lost me because the Non-human front bit lost any steam or interest I could have had. The dog I think did it, but I didn't really like any of the vas for that shit show.

Then again for all I do like Eclipse Phase I did happily shit on their inner solar system take being so slap dash and ree capitalism it made me shit on their unfocused take on anarchism rather hard initially.
