Janovich made another Troon Crusade Video here he goes over the stls and the resin traps within the models and calls out the company for the lies about fixing their stls. Here's a fanboy trying to ragebait in the video.

He also goes over the community license for Troon Crusade and all that.
r/trooncrusade got so raped by this video they the mods are removing any post about it lmfao.

I feel like I'm never gonna find a group where I live that doesn't need me to walk on eggshells around them (i.e. that doesn't use X-cards and lines/veils).

Trench Crusade is the most boring uninspired shit ever. They took the rules for a new edition of Mordheim and mashed it up with some guy's art which would work better as death metal album covers and added some super lazy world building.

It is the game design equivalent of repairing the cracks in your walls by stuffing them full of french fries and giving it a coat of paint.

The neat part is that at this rate you will probably find more people interested in Mordheim because of GW's sheer inertia, cheap proxies and old world re-releases, and the ease of finding its rules. If GW ever makes a random warcom article saying you can use all your old world shit for Mordheim then TC is fucking dead

Funny enough, if you go to the warhammer youtube channel and search for mordheim, there's a handful of videos that come up that have nothing to do with it as if they've stuck tags on the back end for videos for some reason. Then there's this video from March 2025 where the guy mentions painting a mordheim warband for some reason at around 3:15

He could have said Warhammer Quest, Underworlds, Warcry, Spearhead, but no he said Mordheim when they hadn't sold shit for it in over a decade by that point(and even that was after spending what, 8 years or so not supporting it?). Clearly they've got something sitting behind the scenes in development or waiting on a release window(which could still be years).

Mordheim has been getting a quiet resurgance from what ive seen, older Warhammer models being available like the regular state trooper kit and free company militia made it possible for it being playable and even buyable for a regular GW store, all they need is the basic boxset or a re-run of the upgrade sprues, sisters and witchunters and they're golden for the main rulebook. Beyond that, WGA and Perry both have pretty cheap kits that let you do most human warbands. TC is also a small part of it and it bombing will be a great little way to re-shill the OG and have people being capable of finding games for it

Mordheim is like bloodbowl. It's a constant and cheap game for people to play. It's going to keep chugging no matter what GW do. If anything releasing a new edition will harm the community more than help it. They will up the scale a little and make even worse rules the community won't have time to iron out. You won't be able to run a campaign without the rules updating and breaking lists.

Trench crusade's backlash is funny but youtubers don't have as much influence as they think they do. The people invested don't care what the company does, the same way GW fanboys don't. It's a consumer hobby, you buy what you're given and you like it. Other than Age of Sigmar's first edition being completely replaced I've never seen any community influence this hobby in a major way. They're piggies consuming slop and it doesn't matter how bad the slop gets, they must consume!

id agree on the youtuber part but id argue that TC's current fanbase is also ephemeral and entirely reliant on it being the current cool thing to fawn over, i doubt it will have even a quarter of the staying power even obscure shit has, GW atleast has the gargantuan universe. Its a paper tiger of a company and of a universe, if it doesnt fix its issues with shipping product, i doubt anyone but the most dedicated whales with sunk cost or people deep in the culture war trenches will give a shit
Add to that its current issues is that people actually cant consoom, only 1 plastic kit and you either need a 3d printer and/or more fragile resin models as a starter, no books, the lore is all on bluesky or shitty blogposts

Not being able to consoom is also part of consuming. When the hot new thing is easy to get everyone loses interest in it. Every Christmas has this sort of fad going on and their lack of progress helps keep them in the public's mind.

TC gain to fame was by constantly portraying themselves as "moral GW". Once that label peels off there's no reason not to get back to GW.

I honestly don't trust anyone not Japanese to write properly for GITS. The whole "art just copy-pasted from the property" look screams low effort to me. Egg on my face for not yet reading the manga, but if its anything like the movies/SAC there is a lot of potential there. I would respect them more if they had not only original art, but their own take on the franchise. Part of what makes following GITS fun (at least to me) is how every adaptation is its own unique take (again assuming Japanese writers).

If we had good cyberpunk writers left I wouldn't be worried. Asking modern western writers to adopt a Jap property will only end in disaster. Hell, the 2017 GITS movie that is just member berries what I have seen (never watching it lol) is evidence of this.

Typical weeb. "lol it sucks!" when they didn't watch it and have no clue what is even in it. The film isn't very good but bitching how it's a bad adaption while not even knowing whats in it is just dumb weeb mentality.

You can't write cyberpunk any more because we live in cyberpunk. The only technology left our society is missing from cyberpunk is directly jacking into computers and the internet. Everything else we have. There is nothing you can write worth reading in the cyber punk genre any more. It doesn't matter if it's bland as fuck Japanese drivel or western stuff. The only value left in the genre is looking back at retro futurism.

Dude, I don't have to look at shit to smell it a mile away. It is not even an adaption, but just key jangling aspects from everything that came before.
"OH hey remember the gynoids from GITS:2I? NO WE ARE NOT GOING TO GO INTO TTHE HORRIFYING IMPLACATIONS OF THEM! THEY ARE JUST HERE!" *Jingle *jingle *jingle
"OH hey remember the garage collector from the '96 film? No, we are also not going to even adept his scenes in spirit! Hell, he fights and his co-worker gets ghost hacked too!" *jiggle jiggle *jiggle
You don't need to be a weeb to see completely watching a film like that would be a complete waste of time.

Going by that narrow logic, GITS specifically then has a lot of room since we are still a long ways off from common cyborgs. Let alone the full body cyborgs. I'd argue though that sci-fi in general has felt stagnant since writers don't know how to imagine far ahead, but only the immediate implications of current day technology.

Fucking ironic coming from a weeb. When you realize how much anime is just key jangling western media but making the eyes giant. And again you haven't seen it, you don't know whats in it. You just bitch from third hand knowledge. And GITS sucked any way, it was nothing but high quality animation and no plot or pacing. Same old shit from Japan.

We have a lot of cyborgs walking round but you can't see them. A lot of old people have devices installed in them with blu tooth connections now. They check their vitals on their smart phone. It's not openly visual but it's there.

To get back on topic. The other day I was shopping and had to go to a Geek retreat for a gift. I saw an actual in the wild tranny flag Primaris marine. The woman behind the counter had more daddy issues than an incest magazine and the people playing there looked even more sickly than the usual game store types. They had an overwhelming stock of weeb model kits but the prices were all insane. It's weird seeing Getter Robo and Mazinkaiser sitting casually on a generic shop floor. I remember having to go to specialist shops to even get VHS of popular stuff, let alone mecha legends no one cares about.

Are you being retarded on purpose? There is a world of difference between taking inspiration from older works and Ready Player One tier "LOOK! THING". Likewise, there a major difference between old man with a pace maker and old man replaced 95% of his organic body with machinery.

Sorry cyborgs don't look like they have fetal alcohol syndrome so you don't consider it a valid title. Maybe try watching less anime.

Ok you got me! I can't tell if this is genuine or not.

Except If the Emperor had a TTS device. That one can stay.
I got really addicted to their yugioh episodes. WH40K playing the batshit children's card game was the absurdity I needed.
