Trench Crusade is the most boring uninspired shit ever. They took the rules for a new edition of Mordheim and mashed it up with some guy's art which would work better as death metal album covers and added some super lazy world building.

It is the game design equivalent of repairing the cracks in your walls by stuffing them full of french fries and giving it a coat of paint.
I really have no idea what their master plan was.

They marketed themselves as a competitor to 40k when in reality it's just another skirmish game, of which there are about a milion, some even alive, including by GW itself.

They said they were going to be battletech-tier community friendly and went back on it almost immediately.

Despite not having any presence on the tabletop or in LGS's, no connections in the industry and being unable to ship their kick starter rewards they took a hard turn to plastic which is notoriously expensive to set up and not sustainable at a small scale.

I'm 90% sure that this was just an elaborate scam to cash in on GW hatred.

To be fair, hasn't Battletech gone back on the community friendly thing too, ever since that pink haired psychobitch with the problem glasses stole the subreddit and turned the demo team into Catalysts' personal doxing server to harass "chud" creators?

I seem to remember they were sending DMCAs against etsy and cults3d creators last year, I mean.

As a big paleo nerd, just wanted to quickly shout out CARNIVORE.

It's a skirmish game where you play as scientifically accurate dinosaurs battling to the death at the end of the world.

So far, the dinos that have been confirmed are:
  • Velocirator
  • Austroraptor
  • Spinosaurus
  • Stegosaurus
  • Allosaurus
  • Hypsilophodon
There's also ceratosaurus, styracosaurus and ekrixinathosaurus(?) included in the seemingly AI generated promotional artwork. Seems like they made another game before this as well, but I have no clue what it is.
They opened a campaign on gamefound which is where to got most of my info from, but it's not open for donations yet: https://gamefound.com/pt/projects/buer-games/carnivore?redirect_reason=language_detection. It also gives you a free model if you follow rn.

Anyways, the only reason I shared this is because I like dinos, that's all. The premise has got me hooked, so I'll probably donate and inform you guys if it's a scam or not 👍.
IT'S OUT!!!

CARNIVORE is out and with a bang.

Ever since I made my last post, Edmontosaurus, Ankylosaurus, Triceratops and Tyrannosaurus have all been added to the final product. It hit the goal in less than an hour and as of now has doubled it, with it being just a few thousand shy from hitting the eighth stretch goal. And it will be open till the end of march.

For the goals we hit so far:
  • Dilophosaurus Rules (21k)
  • Pachycephalosaurus Rules (23k)
  • Design your own dinosaur (25k)
  • More art (28k)
  • Official Soundtrack (31k)
  • Rulebook Miniature Photos (35k)
  • New Scenarios (40k)
  • HERBIVORE (Gamemode where you play as herbivores) (45k): Less than 2k needed and we'll probably be getting it in just a few hours We got it.
So far it is a resounding success. The only other goals of note are COLOSSUS, where you can do a bossfight against a giant sauropod, and sculpts for both Dilophosaurus and Pachycephalosaurus. The rest is just artwork and extra goodies, but nothing that impacts the game directly.

Not bad. Personally think you'd do better using dollar store dino toys and this lacks a niche, but hey this is more scaled for a wargaming table and they'd be easier to repaint anyway.

While a dinosaur based skirmish game rises, another licensed IP skirmish game must fall
The announcement of the Sequel Trilogy characters has brought us to a unique point within the game’s life. With Shatterpoint now covering every era of Star Wars from the Fall of the Jedi to the Rise of the First Order we have realized our vision for what we hoped Shatterpoint could and would be. And while the saga of Shatterpoint is nowhere near its conclusion, this moment represents a key turning point in how we at Atomic Mass Games will continue to achieve success for the game going forward.

As we look toward the future of Atomic Mass Games and Shatterpoint three years and over 130 characters and counting, we have come to the conclusion that the Sequel Trilogy provides both us and the players a fantastic celebratory bookend to an incredible era. One that saw aggressive and monumental expansion and growth in just a few short years. It is now time to remove our foot from the gas in terms of the number and pacing of Shatterpoint new releases.

So after all this time they've finally decided to retire their secondary SW game that was in a different scale when they already had a hard enough time supporting 2 other games in the first place. Here's a couple of canadian retailers making fun of the decisions that led to this point, as well as discussing the realities of retail and dealing with a dead game on the shelf.

View attachment 8472846 I was part of the Facebook group dedicated to Kings of War until this retard made this post. The comments are filled with them sucking this dude off. He is alsoone of those idiots who thought that Ice used that child to bait the dad and whatnot. He is openly hateful of Americans and isn'tcoming due to the going ones with Greenland.
Speaking of cucks...

I can’t imagine the salt we’ll see when warhammer world is built not that far from the capitol.

Don't worry about shatter point guys it will be sitting on the shelves of your flgs for years to come collecting dust, just like the 8th edition knight codex every shop seems to have. Best part it will never see a discount either and store owners will complain like they always do about not making money.

lol, true for a lot of shops run by idiots. At this point if a store even still has any significant shatterpoint inventory anyone with a brain would be looking to get rid of that shit immediately. Lots of morons who understand nothing about business will insist on keeping it at MSRP after 8 years for shit because they don't want to "lose money" while ignoring the shelf space they've had occupied by a bunch of shit collecting dust and how that looks to customers(and the regulars at a store do notice this shit).

I've seen Runewars starters on the shelf for 20% off at a shop near me. I don't know why they didn't make it 50 or more just to get the space back. I would have bought it for the models at that cost.

Like I said, dumb shop owners only understanding that they don't want to sell items at below cost and not considering the inventory space and how bad it looks for shit that'll never sell. Even if you don't want to sell it in store for a discount for whatever reason, just fucking unload it on ebay. But again, they'd rather "not lose money" for an eternity instead of just liquidating the shit and moving on, while ignoring how much space was being wasted in a shop they're pay for by the square foot(or meter/whatever).

Friendly reminder never to buy from Paizo.

I didn't want to shit up the 40K thread so I thought I'd post this here. But according to Guy he has been accused of being secretly "far right". That's right, the same man who said he didn't like the idea of playing Germans in a WW2 games is being accused of being far right! By who you may ask? Who knows and he doesn't say.
I'm not searching reddit or blusky but it all comes down to the ring on his thumb. Video below if you want to rot some brain cells
Hope it was worth it Guy because not matter how many times you bend the knee, kiss the ring or say your prayers to the pastel flag you will never be pure enough.

Youtubers are all fags. If they ever say more than "Then I drybrush Zandri dust" you should immediately unfollow and close the video. They're casual entertainment and disposable.

If you were forced to play a GW game because the local community only plays Warhammer shit, which would you pick and why?

"Sue anyone who thinks too hard about infringing on my IP". I've never played it, but I've seen live-plays and it looks pretty fun. I'd really like to play with the optional "and also tanking our own production quality" rules.

2nd choice would "Shit on my customer base but continue to make money hand over fist due to any rival being vastly more incompetent"
