Several people in the comments of this announcement are complaining about still missing their promised rulebooks

And that's just from the update post alone.

So it's not even just books that people are missing. Some people asking for their 6th replacement shipment, people not getting physical terrain. TC people keep saying to contact the distributor instead of them asking the distributor wtf is going on and why are there so many complains. It's still a complete shit show.

"We're not to blame, it's the fault of everyone we partnered with!"

Those dweebs really can't take responsibility for their terrible business decisions, huh?

Edit: In my experience, BackerKit only gives the customer wrong information when they're given wrong information by the people running the campaign.

Troon Crusade's Tuomas Pirinen proudly proclaims that "no 40k chud child, the videos highlighting our incompetence and our game being declared dead actually resulted in MORE sales and site visits!"
If I had a dollar for every time this cope was used whenever someone gets exposed, I would be a millionaire.

If TC wouldn't have created a circle jerk with Youtubers, the backlash would be much bigger.
TC youtubers aren't very big. I get a lot of miniature recommendations and I barely see TC content. They're in a hug box and aren't getting recommendations outside of it.

11th ed 40k will kill a lot of games for at least a year if it's a proper reboot of the rules and drops the bloat. Same GW cycle always happens.

That and the idea that a company receiving a bunch of complaints can just blame it on the regional distributor as if they aren't business partners that can contact them is just as stupid. Backerkit has no reason to just randomly be providing wrong information unless someone entered wrong information, or it'd be so useless no one would use it.

edit:

So they can't get books to one of the distributors who is now just issuing refunds to shut people up? Where have I seen "fucking with your distributors" go wrong in tabletop games before... oh wait Privateer Press and Wyrd Miniatures.

TC people don't paint minis or play games, they listen to loreslop with the art on the background and that still gets views and attention, but battle reports seem to flounder a bit more, but then again, I think yt battle reports besides 40k are pretty hit or miss with the algorithm

Leaks point to a 10.5 which wont invalidate existing rules like army detachments. Would love for there be be sweeping changes but expect very little besides tweaks to basic things or a spearhead equivalent that sucks slightly less than what is out currently.

It's a very specific type of viewer who is willing to regularly watch batreps of anything including 40k, and even then most of them won't watch a 3 hour livestream of a game but instead something heavily cut down like playontabletop. When the other games have a fraction of the audience that 40k does, even if the ratio is the same you're going to have a fraction of that available to you.

I mentioned playontabletop, half million youtube subs. Can get 40-120k views a video for 40k. But they do other games. Marvel Crisis Protocol has an audience of people that actually play it, but only gets them 10-50k views per video. Something that can't even really compete with MCP isn't going to do amazing and that's assuming the channels doing TC batreps have a production quality that's even remotely close to playontabletop's.

Battle reports primary market is people painting. But they will only watch games they play and understand. I really like watching rank and file game battle reports but not old world. I never get recommended them.

If it's 10.5 it's going to make the fanbase pissed off. No one is happy with the current edition. A reboot edition kills other games because all the old crowd angry at the current edition return to it. Like it until the bloat hits again.

Warhammer adds 50-80% viewership compared to any other video.

What counts as no games to you guys? I only get to play Mini games once or twice a month, And mostly play TCGs since it's easier for shops to support that here.

If you're playing once or twice a month, you're probably playing more than most out there.

At least when I say "no games" I mean literally no games. The one time one of these TC people convinces someone to play in a demo game and never bother again doesn't count. Someone who can only get a single game in a year is still someone who plays even though it's rarely. Now if you were to ask someone when the last time they played was and it's some shit like "5 years ago" yeah ok you're not playing anything, you used to play.

GW has a one two punch lined up if the rumors of a new MK. 7 marine kit and scourging era ruleset are real

Even the biggest anti GW grog would crack

People who left GW and found other games won't go back no matter what is released. GW fans who don't like the current edition will return when the edition changes. No amount of no marine kits will change that. There's a new marine kit every other month

So I guess in an attempt to get players to keep buying their terribly made models, TC is introducing yet another Hell faction that has a sea/Lovecraftian theme now. At least, that's the vibe I'm getting. It's always a good idea to cram more shit into a game before fixing what already exists!
They'll keep that up for a bit, and then once they've bloated the faction count and the game balance is a complete shit show, the few buyers who do play will comment on it, leaving the rest of them to whine about how it's broken... or they do make some balance changes and then they whine that balance updates exist when 90% of them aren't even playing anyway.

do you have a post? i cant find anything about this at all, iirc they already had a naval themed subfaction for the regular vanilla hell troopers

Yeah, I'd love to see a post about it too. The recent crackdown they did on etsy sellers/STL designers included a lot of naval themed heretics so that would add another layer of scumminess to it.
I should have made it more clear. These are more so rumors I just heard, but these rumors came about when TC devs started making discord posts about The Leviathan, so now people are speculating that the next faction to be introduced will be, as I said, naval themed or some sort of deep abyss/lovecraftian themed faction. Though others argue that since Leviathan is the Demon Lord of Envy, it's probably more to do with the Court. So really, it could go two ways.
