He hates nu40k and woke stuff but then lashes out at people who share his opinion. Either turbo 40k autist or controlled opposition at this rate
As far as vidya go, did SM2 flop? I enjoyed the campaign for what it was and I think I fired it up for a couple runs a month or two ago and techmarine was pretty good. But I was under the impression that it sold extremely well for its niche to the point where they greenlit 3 really fucking quick, same with Rogue Trader and its DLC. I think DarkTide and DoW3 were the only really big recent flops
I don't even think DarkTide flopped so much as it was another entry into an already crowded Genre that didn't bring anything new to the table other than "FOUR TEE KAY!" and the grind meta was unreal, so it just didn't have any sticking power.
Both sm2 and dt are generally considered successes, sure sm2 has certainly significantly less players now, but darktide is usually more active.
It was wildly successful, selling 12 milion copies as of April this year. So roughly 700 milion dollars on a budget of under a hundred milion ("half of doom eternal").
Chud Warhammer fans hate 40k but they'll never ever ever look into sci-fi books, games or settings that aren't Warhammer. If they do, then they won't stfu about Warhammer as was the case with Avatar 3 and Rebel Moon. They're totally buckbroken paypigs and should be reviled.
Oh it gets better. Nellop only got into the hobby in 8th edition. The start of nu40k. He has no experience with any of the prior 40k editions. If only he put his passion for the “glory days” of Warhammer into something positive. There are redditors designing lore for the Nova Terra Interregnum (on r/35k) and armies using the 3rd-5th edition rules. Nellop is worse than redditors.
