Agreed. When I played it extensively 90% of players were drama or social science students from the local university. It was goth city.

Also, why does everyone hate Zak? I mean besides his abrasive personality which i'm reading in his posts, he's the perfect communicator for these people. He bent his back for them and yet everyone seems to hate the guy.

The fact that his biggest alog was forced to pay him out of pocket for an undisclosed sum has to rankle for these people, but they hated him before that. As much of a dickhead as he was to tons of people online, he was a public dickhead. You knew exactly where you stood with him because he'd fucking tell you in no uncertain terms. He wouldn't pretend to like someone if he didn't.

I don't like Zak either, but I like how he makes a lot of people I also dislike squirm.
And I suspect a lot of people aren't suing simply because they're afraid of getting canceled. Sure, you could get a nice lump sum for your trouble, but if your entire life can be summed up as "being online" like so many people's these days, throwing that all away is too steep a price.

Hey, if foresight or even basic reasoning skills were in any kind of supply among the general population, we wouldn't be having the problems we have right now. People see a troop of screaming blue-haired monkeys running their way and they either they run for their lives, or they start flinging shit and hope the monkeys accept them as one of their own.
Didn't these people also get mega-butthurt about the whole D&D with porn stars thing he did on the Escapist for a little while? It was funny watching them trying to nail the guy to the cross while at the same time doing their hardest to not spill over onto the girls because they couldn't just call them sluts without losing their "sex positive" and "feminist" labels.

Mostly I think it's down to SJWs just fucking despising the OSR as something that they can never completely control. Oh sure they can infiltrate (which Zak tried to help do.) But the OSR is completely decentralized with no leadership or mob mentality. You got autists making spreadsheets and rules for 1st ed DnD who aren't even aware there was an attempted infiltration. Everyone just does their own thing on their islands. In his mind, Zak was supposed to be Moses leading the SJWs to the promised lands of OSR but that didn't happen so he's now problematic. He still can't do the math on why SJWs actually dislike him. Because he still believes he's one of them. Also despite being another leftist hipster and genuine piece of shit he did things the SJWs didn't like that he thought they would. Such as the porn star thing. It was one big virtue signal and he had all these porn star purse puppies he could rely on until they all turned on him as inevitably women with power do to those they deem no longer useful.
