Tabletop Roleplaying Games (D&D, Pathfinder, CoC, ETC.)

$10 a model for the monsters and 15 for the guys that go with them? Fuck that, they're just asking for their shit to be pirated at $45-55 a faction. That shit should be $5 and $10 putting them at $25-30. Or at least least offer discounted bundles.
Only if you want to get the whole faction. If you just want a single monster and units, that is just $25. Which is less than the MSRP of just 1 monster. (heck those were $34-36 so you could get 2 monsters an the units for that)

As a big 1.0 fan, I have been interested examining which monsters made it to the reboot and which ones did not.

I'm aware it's under MSRP for the models when they were at retail. But it's not retail, it's fucking STLs. I'm also not saying they should be nothing, but they're definitely overpriced.

They just aren't allowed to touch the expensive resin ones, they can play with the chunky cheap amazon tube ones, okay? I'm not a total psycho
You're a good man, kids probably made some good memories. They should ask first though.
if I don’t crash the game and go insane, someone else will.
With no survivors? Anyway, did you tell him his porn addiction is ruining the game for you (and hopefully the others)?

Any kid-friendly system recommendations for a five year old? Good at math so basic addition/subtraction won't be an issue. Is currently obsessed with treasure and treasure maps so any kind of basic find-the-treasure scenario will go over well.
OSR systems like Knave would work I think.

As for scenarios. The old adventure Treasure Hunt. The format is terrible, and you'd have to house rule out the stupid class assignment nonsense at the start. But the adventure is super simple once you have it down.

You start as prisoners on a ship that wrecks on the island. They soon find orcs and goblins (though you can change this easily) who are fighting over a supposed treasure hidden on the island. The PCs will likely take shelter in a ruined temple. They get a visit from the goddess of water/the sea who has decided to sink the island. The PCs are given a time limit to escape, and are given a hint to some treasure/grave goods. Turns out the treasure includes a boat, which the PCs can use to escape the island.

The wilderness campaign Shadow of Castle Silveraxe has a couple of treasure maps to find that players have to puzzle out, but never got that far when running it.

I want to say I had a bunch of treasure related adventures, but I can't think of them right now.

I had one a few years back in a Becmi game. The whole point of the cave system was a treasure hunt. They cleared out 99% of the place except one single room. They just had to navigate over a pit that spanned the center of it.
Anyways the dungeons mother load was on the other end.
Nah guys we'll come back to this later.
They ended up heading back to town and ADHDed it off to other stuff.
They would have literally doubled their profits plus most of them would have leveled from it.
They ended up selling the map of the place to a local official who "looked it over " with the player a little before the deal was sealed.
It was one final hint hint nudge nudge that they missed a spot via role play. Since it was noted on the map to return.
Nope deal was done and done and they handed it over.
They later found out that more treasure was found with no effort from the buyer. He rubbed it in a little in a friendly manner.
It was a moment of the players looking at each other and then.....son of a bitch.
They all realized the mistake.
We all had a good laugh about it as it wrapped up that session.

God damn it, mom, they are TOOLS which I use in my TACTICAL SIMULATIONS
You joke but one of the guys I gamed with back in the 80s literally said this.
I was literally talking with a friend about that game last night. Now I am suspicious why he needs my help...

How is the game otherwise?

In other news... I learned monpoc's figs are moving to self prints.

This does not bode well for my time management...
They were planning this for awhile. I think someone is also taking over their paint line. would be a shame to lose some of their colours

I was hoping he’d get the message with all the green whores I’ve been killing. The beheadings will continue until the quality improves.

It’s me and one other guy who are most uncomfortable (white human male martial classes) and everyone else either doesn’t care or is enjoying it (the sperg anime-enjoyer).

So I was just gonna do my tricks and wonder which will break first, his spirit or his campaign.

Second reply to this, but I remembered two I forgot.

1: A criminal themed adventure. A DCC adventure iirc. I didn't like it RAW due to being a meatgrinder (as many OSR adventures are) the entire adventure and final boss can be bypassed (easily fixed), and the pcs have no motivation (again, easily fixed).

The premise is that a shady magic item dealer has locked himself up in his shop and hasn't been seen since. It's up to the PCs to break in there and steal his treasure.

2: A horror adventure (more halloween scary). Formally a free adventure that re-keyed a Curse of Shtrad map, but has since been paywalled. The PCs are told by a bard to break into a house to steal a rod of wonder. The owner tried to reverse engineer it and was never seen again. Others that tried to recover it were never seen again. The dungeon is lite on combat and high on magical puzzles. The room is an easy TPK as there's no hints to what's happening, but that's possible to fix, albeit clunky.

Godspeed, INB4 he makes a super whore that tries to "rocks fall" you with snu-snu. But seriously tell him to at least tone it down, if he's going to include orc porn in the campaign the least he can do is keep it where it might make sense, like an orc encampment. I pray you don't get green'd.

So a comic/game/ collectible store I like to go to is hosting this.

I want to get a few of my friends together and get a table right next to them. Run AD&D or AD&D 2nd edition to show them how its done.

I'm going to give them the benefit of a doubt that they probably don't deserve and say that this is just World of Darkness 101 and they should probably PLAY SOMETHING OTHER THAN FUCKING DND!

You could run Becmi and just toss them in Nights Dark Terror. It can be ran in 1e or 2e with a little easy conversion.
The antagonists are The Iron Ring. They're pretty much running every stereotypical bad criminal operation you can think of.
They really deserved their own Gazateer.

A Baali campaign would fit.

I was thinking the same thing, very easy to play a Vampire PC as essentially a rape victim, given that Vampires have a long history of being used as a metaphor and allegory for sexuality, especially predatory sexuality, all the way back to Dracula and Carmilla. The problem is that in practice, playing a rape victim for very long becomes taxing and one-note, so you have to quickly move along from it and have some character development.

Part of the problem with playing a VtM character as a (violent)rape victim is they're typically groomed before the kiss. There's still the matter of informed consent...

Typically they don't ask permission though. Just one night you get ambushed and turned. Even moreso if you're a shovelhead, press ganged into the Jyhad because you looked tough, expendable or that no one would miss you. Worst of all is the Lasombra who actively ruin your life to see how you handle it before they turn you.

Also there is plenty of ways to stop a brand new kindred if they want to rebel against their sire in the very early stages, like Dominate, Presence, the Blood Bond, or also Auspex to detect scheming, it is even more easy to handle if your sire has plenty of ghouls that can use a stake or coterie mates or sympathetic clan mates.

My DM has been indulging in orc pornography in his free time and it has contaminated the game.

I think this is a sign that God doesn’t want me to play tabletop RPGs because if I don’t crash the game and go insane, someone else will.
He's got poor form if he's letting his ruin his game. The tusks and green body paint stay in the closet when guests are over. I went out of my way to make my setting's orcs not even people just to avoid any potential magical realm accusations.
Is this actually how people are seeing their characters these days? I knew a lot of normalfags play ttrpg's like theater club, but this is getting out of hand. Is this just dolls on paper for them?

Unrelated but my players continue to astound me. They're living it up in the Elemental Planes at the moment. They had a choice to either go through the Para-elemental plane of Ice or Ooze (which an NPC described as "the worst place in the universe"), and they chose ooze. Now the wizard has malaraids, and the rogue has schizopox. They have no one to blame but themselves.
