Apparently one of the cast members claimed they were assaulted on the set of this show.

The "physical assault" she is alleging was a bump that happened 18 months ago, and she says is still causing her chronic pain. Everyone on set who witnessed the incident said Yi's version of the event was inaccurate. HR eventually got sick of her constant complaints and paid her to go away.

Yi has a history of making unsupported claims. She has gone after James Franco, Seth Rogen, and Marilyn Manson all for sexual harassment. She even spoke out against David Cross for racist comments. Cross denied all her accusations, as did the other men.

Charlyne Yi and Taika Waititi deserve each other.

At least they kept the lead (young white kid) the same. I didn't know that they are introducing a sister, but they could have done something far worse, DEI style (for the main, lead kid), than just introducing a sister. Maybe she only has a small role or there's a.. what do you call it? Not good cop/bad cop, but the buddy kind of thing where they don't really get along but make for a fun narrative plot device of differing opinions.

As for the "fellow adventurers," it seems they are going for the "safe" type of "motley crew" where you can introduce anyone with different views/cultures/backgrounds and have them "come together" when the script demands it.

Funnily enough though, they seem to want to give diversity to the cast (and we know why, current year and all) but by doing so they toss out one of the most under-represented groups (imo): dwarfs! Little people, the "differently abled in height" (lol, or whatever...)


On a similar note:

Reminds me of discourse on the new Snow White movie starring Rachel Zegler (Latina) as the lead (skin as white as snow? I think not) and Gal Gadot (Israeli) as the evil queen. BUT the biggest move was that it looked like there would be some DEI bandits of various backgrounds (only one being a dwarf... one asian, one black, one female, etc. I think) in place of the seven dwarfs as it seemd that there are, I think, seven "magical bandits of the forest" or something.

Fucking Wee-Man (from Jackass) ripped into Disney for this:

"You’re replacing jobs that people could have as little people. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, it’s for dwarfs. Why are you hiring Snow White and the Seven 'average people?" [article] (not important enough to archive IMO).

Same could be said for the Time Bandits remake.


Just noticed with Snow White: It seems now that either a "new development" has occurred (backlash recieved?) or just wasn't revealed (why?) in that there will be dwarfs (as well as the bandits? seems to be getting bloated), but the dwarfs will all be CGI. Again though, taking away jobs from actual IRL dwarfs.

Are people with dwarfism not considered "under-represented" on the DEI checklist?


tl:dr: they are doing the same (it seems, plus worse) with Snow "White" and the Seven "Dwarfs" and people with dwarfism (well, the ones speaking out) aren't too happy about it.

When Marilyn Manson was on House MD (at the same time as the actress in question) he alledgedly asked several women if they "scissor each other" and various other "lewd things" (there's a bit of a list of his bullshit) which I totally believe if he was doped up at the time. I remember when he was on "Talking Dead" as a live guest to discuss an episode of (you guessed it) The Walking Dead, and he was fucked up. The episode (TWD) had the older woman in the show kill a bunch of bad guys (in a badass way) to save her friends (good guys, at the time? I dropped that series long ago) and all Manson could blurt out was that "she was just on her period," and other non-sensical shit, truely unrealted to the show. Just him shitting on this older woman (character and maybe actress).

Chris Hardwick did his best to swerve away from Manson, who could barely sit up, and chat with the other guest (Jack Osborne, Ozzy's son, lol), but Manson just kept coming back to the woman being old and menopausal, or some shit. It was.. cringy (I hate that word).

Yi's situation is equally egregious, given that she claims to have been harassed multiple times by multiple people in public, and she can't find one person to corroborate even one of her accounts.

I've always admired that one interview I saw with Manson on "Bowling for Columbine." When asked about what he would have said to those school shooters if he had the chance to before it all went down was: "Nothing... I would have said nothing. I would have listened, because clearly they had a lot to say."

Anyway, this is getting far off-topic. I was going explain what I have in this post into my above post, but it was getting wordy. Manson can be intelligent and straight forward, he can go for shock/non-pc shit, but when he gets too doped up he does stupid shit that could get himself in trouble, not unlike a lot of people.

As always, I'm a firm believer that it's not about rebooting because of only "lack of creativity". It's to replace every single media ever made with niggers in it to make sure that in the future, nobody can access classic moving pictures with only Europeans in it for escapism from a mulitcultural hell hole that we already live in.
Nobody asked for Time Bandits to be a series, and I certainly know that most niggers has never heard of it before this. Since it takes place in many historical places (and time), it's a perfect setting to create another consensus that WE WUZ ____ n SHEEIT for the future niggers and mutts/kalergi offsprings to look back to as an (fake) historical achievement for them.

Michael Cera did. Cera and Yi made a shitty movie about their supposed faux relationship. Cera almost married Aubrey Plaza, so his dating Yi seems really odd. Charlene was also in the deliberately over the top and offensive Puppet Master remake. I'm surprised that she hasn't made any allegations about working on that film, but the studio ended up with its own problems and shut down afterwards.

This really pisses me off. Gilliam's movie was one of my absolute favorites as a kid. It's wholesome with good lessons.

I actually prefer it when they make TV series rather than a feature length reboot usually, since I can ignore it easier. Waititi just fucking sucks. I thought JoJo Rabbit was overrated too. I hated the ending. He was an ok Hitler in it and Scarjo was good, but overall junk. Everything else he's been involved in has been absolute garbage.
