Trump was right too, and it isnt even about patriotism. Purely about the bottom line, this shit is costing the NFL money.

Man tho, sure would be hilarious if the Blacks pissed away their super Welfare and burned it all down like neighborhoods in a riot.

This is the largest pushback against pozloading seen in decades. The players can be smartasses all they like, right up until NFL stands start looking like MLB stands. Or worse. People can easily just not pay for tickets or merch and such. Hell, half the reason normal tv even still has customers is the smooshing of it with internet. A lot of people are considering just dropping it for netflix/hulu.

Anybody else have family whose also angry at the NFL? My father whose a big football fan is assblasted about this whole situation and is refusing to watch the NFL now

Since the Chargers moved I've hoped for the demise of that franchise and the NFL as a whole, but all this embarrassingly stupid rage makes me want to root for the NFL. I can't believe of all the issues that actually matter, the president can tweet and bait so many people into looking at this like it is a real fucking concern.

How many of these idiots would unironically turn around and support flying a Confederate flag as free speech?

And a lot of people (not talking about anyone here, just in general) don't seem to realize that is that when Trump starts calling athletes "sobs" and such, they take it very personally. These guys consider each other family, and it's like, "don't you dare say that about my bro."

So the more Trump insults them, the worse it's gonna be. Besides, people are always going on and on about protesting peacefully. What could be more peaceful than this? "Disrespectful to our veterans?" Give me a break. If you want to support our veterans, you can do a hell of a lot more than just stand up for a flag. ("They fought for your freedom! How dare you exercise that freedom!!!")

I don't see the majority of Steelers Nation abandoning the team. We're too hardcore for that.

I just hope when the Penguins go to the White House, he keeps his mouth shut. And doesn't do anything disrespectful to the Stanley Cup. (Do NOT lift it over your head, Trump. Please, for the love of God, do not do that)

The Stanley Cup has been used as a dog food bowl, urine receptacle, had stuff burned in it, dropped in a fire, kicked across an ice lake. It has even been shit in.

Trump will likely do none of those things nor will he sleep with it as a number of Hockey Players have done.
