I just finished the lecture and I thought it was pretty good. I feel totally neutral about ben saint and the only thing I would really say is the lecture feels a little all over the place. He'll be talking about an episode and he's like "oh I forgot". And goes back to an episode he already talked about. This happens a lot. I appreciate he doesn't really go into the pony stuff cause personally I dropped off after sonic.
Overall score 7/10
BGE and the couch are good too.

Finished the Ben Saint vid. Pretty decent all things considered, the biggest problem I have with it is that he jumps around so much and it almost comes off as unorganized. Him calling Flora flanderized also rubbed me the wrong way when she easily has the most fleshed out arc of any character.

He also glossed over some key shit:

-never brings up the take your kid to work day episode, it explores crucial Sportacus lore

-never brings up the end of Halloween Heroes, where Sportacus’ blimp crashes and all of LazyTown essentially gets destroyed

-never brings up the appearance of the Code Lyoko kids in the Pizza Party episode

-never brings up Sid the Science Kid’s role in BWTB or the episode about the strange room in his house

-never brings up that Light’s first appearance was in the summer camp episode

-never brings up the flashback in which we see the hedgehogs’ dad talk to kid Bartleby

There’s probably more but that’s all I know off the top of my head.

Tamers wearing a different costume is just another example of the lost mystique of his character. I guess he doesn't care about it, which is fair enough, but it is certainly a shame that the grungy early Youtube "aesthetic" is quickly being replaced by the safe and mundane.

He posted this right after. It was cloudy when he had the Twilight costume on, but when he put the Bartleby costume on, the weather became sunny again. It’s a sign.

One of the things I'm sad about since he started MLP is that the episode every two weeks schedule seems to have stopped him from posting random videos that aren't animations. It's nice to see the costume and hear the voice again.

To be fair he was doing an episode every two weeks before MLP too. But I really missed his IRL videos.
