.....so is the pun intentional, or
It's more part of what makes Tamers who he is, and it's best not to think too hard about it in my opinion.

Tamers doesn't appear to be into scat, piss, or farts in real life and from what one can gleam from twitter. He's a Bardonic fanboy through and through. But the inclusion of unusual fetishes helps make the channel and products more spectacular. Tamers is for all purposes a character, a character that at this point we don't know is truly genuine or has finally been lost to the sauce, but Tamers is a character. And part of that 'persona' is to be as outlandishly onboard with Bardonic (or whatever similar ship from MLP he has), and so it doesn't matter if it's 'normal' art or art with characters pissing themselves stupid, it's all Bardonic at the end of the day.

Of course, I'll say this- thinking about it ruins part of the fun, I sound like a bullshit 'media literate character analyzer'. Part of Tamers' fun is the kayfabe; yeah it's amazingly odd and weird when you think about it for 3 seconds, but you gotta learn to turn it off and just 'go with the flow'. Tamers isn't meant to make you think, it's meant to make you laugh.

Everybody hates Manic
Y'know what, it's not Tamers quality, but it made me laugh a few times. To me it's like looking back at some of Tamer's old works with a fresh coat of paint. It's not got the "zing", but it's funny and it could become better.
I wonder what he process was like for Abba? Because it could potentially prove/disprove the 2Tamers theory

Just got finished watching it and I agree. Not Tamers quality but they did a solid job and has the same heart.

It's missing a lot of the unhinged tangents and whims that drive a typical Tamers episode. I also think it has a lot of out-of-character moments, like Bartleby tolerating any lip from Manic whatsoever, or Manic not immediately using employment as an opportunity to engage in crime. Manic behaves somewhat like I'd expect Sonic to (although Sonic himself is in-character, as is Sonia) chiefly because of his emotional turmoil. Overall it's light on everything I wanted, like when I purchase a Great Value frozen microwave breakfast sandwich from Dollar Tree instead of a high-quality breakfast croissant from McDonalds.

That's what I felt was missing. The lack of Bartleby standing up for himself and his bitch. But at the same time I kinda like it as an 'appetizer' episode. I think the Dollar Tree to McDonalds comparison works; the Big AZ is serviceable, but the freshly warm cheeseburger with fries from McDonalds is better. But when you're working between the Big AZ and the burger found on the side of the road that likely has rat droppings, it's the Big AZ for me.

I think you're right Seabear.

He looks to have some serious autism by the contents of those YouTube community posts and video descriptions. And his SU has some charm. If Tamers has gone to greener pastures, I could live with this. What would happen to our fanclub in this thread? Would we have to shut down or relocate.

The autism is endearing, honestly.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention. We should keep an eye on this guy like he is a protege of Tamers.

Am I really so desperate for content that I'm going to watch other people's Sonic Underground episodes?

Yes. Yes I am.

I think we could argue that our little thread could extend to this fellow here, this is a clear inspiration from Tamers; his style, his universe, his 'tism. Maybe the thread title would have to change a bit, but I'm hopeful this thread could keep up and at it.

As for RD and PP break up, I thought it was good. It raises the same old question of where are these funny jokes during the gay OC pone eps?
my guess is Tamers wants to have his cake and eat it. He wants the silly nature of old SU episodes, but he also wants a 'long-running narrative' that people can get invested in and donate big patreon bux for 'exclusive' material and spoiler content.

He could just make the obnoxious gay OC episodes funny. I mean, he obviously still has the chops. As it's been stated numerous times before, he seems to just be intentionally choosing to not do anything of quality during those. They're so bad that I can't even tell if they're spiteful against gay/fujo bronies, or SU Tamers fans.

I think what he learned from Flawless was that the bronies eat up OCs. And that a sizable amount of them like the gay melodrama and sex, so he’s just throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks and try to please everyone at the same time. And unless Tamers somehow learned how to write this kind of melodrama overnight there’s gotta be someone helping him behind the scenes (blah blah two Tamers theory). The Twitter ponyfags that he retweets love the gay shit but apparently /mlp/ is starting to get tired of it. Apparently they don’t like Clean Sweep in particular.

As for the episode, I liked it. Reminiscent of SU. Don’t like Applejack’s new voice but the joke about why it’s changed was funny.

Right but it really does seem like is that the people who like the gay melodrama aren't the same kinda people who like the comedic episodes of MLP. We see this clean but awkward split on /mlp/ where half the board bitches and the other half celebrate, and it really drives home the idea that Tamers has for all purposes 'two fandoms' in one. One for the comedy, and one for the drama. Now of course this isn't uncommon for fandoms to be split into smaller sub-groups, some people are just there for the theories, some are just there for the fan content, etc...

My half-baked theory is that the two halves of the Tamers fandom are just so incompatible beyond the basics; they like Tamers, they like MLP, and they're at least fine with a bit of raunchiness. Going back to /mlp/ there's always been a much stronger divide between the stallion fans and the mare fans, and I'd be willing to hedge bets that the split between 'comedics' and 'dramatics' is roughly aligned with that split. Tamers managed to strike gold in being able to draw from both of these groups of bronies, but Tamers also has to walk a careful tightrope act between the two groups. Putting more drama into comedic episodes and storylines would alienate more of the 'comedic' fandom. And lessening the dramatics for more comedy and quick wits would piss off the dramatics. And as you said, as we've all said we're baffled at how boringly nothing the gay stallion episodes are, but yet somehow, they get more praise, they gather plenty of views, fanart, and money. This is what my crackpot theory hinges on, the Tamers fandom is perhaps two groups who've managed to find the most uncommon common ground and are 'competing' with one another for content from Tamers.
