This is what my crackpot theory hinges on, the Tamers fandom is perhaps two groups who've managed to find the most uncommon common ground and are 'competing' with one another for content from Tamers.
It feels like the divide between the two types of episodes has become more evident lately too. I was busy when the last stallion episode premiered and already didn't want to watch it and just skipped, but knew from the preview that I'd probably enjoy the latest one. It at least used to feel like you would miss some good jokes in the stallion episodes or get caught in bad melodrama in the comedy episodes, but that seems to have mostly ended.
And unless Tamers somehow learned how to write this kind of melodrama overnight there’s gotta be someone helping him behind the scenes (blah blah two Tamers theory).
I don't think the melodrama was learned overnight, as much as it is Tamers finally getting to go wild with the latent internet anime fandom stuff that was always floating around in the background of some of his SU stuff and started really growing as he did longer storylines with MLP until it got out of control. All of the OCs fall in line with this, like combining existing characters, representing them being in love or crazy, and in the case of Clean Sweep, existing mostly to ship with an existing character.

Abba Nightcore posted this. I normally think plush videos are cringe but this actually got a few laughs out of me. I dare say it’s better than Everybody Hates Manic. Though I won’t lie when I say it would’ve been far funnier if it was animated.

I'm about ready to start assuming you're Abba Nightcore if you keep posting this not-Tamers guy in the Tamers thread.

I didn't bother watching the new episode. Was it any good? I doubt it but it being a mare focused episode gives me a sliver of hope.
It was. Another SU-reminiscent one.

Also, hints of a Winx Club series or a continuation of the Tournament of Power arc soon?

I know he's mentioned his brother before, has he ever said anything about him being a part of videos?
His brother is mentioned in the comments of some really really old beginning of channel videos before he started getting into the character, but he's never brought him up since or ever referenced him or saying he worked on videos in any capacity. You're just supposed to infer that he was a single child just like you're meant to infer that he only has a momma (besides a single instance in an old christmas haul video where he accidentally says his mom and dad had bought him gifts). Pretty disappointing to see him just completely ruin that bit as he reveals more of his actual life. It was a lot more fun to just have a mysterious second person who sounds and looks like him with no explanation given like the sportacus escapes video. It's pretty obvious who the other person is, but the fact that he never acknowledges or comments on it made it mysterious. More and more of the magic dies every day,

Yeah we pretty much always knew it was a brother, but I think the mom is still a larp. Still sucks to see the mystique die bit by bit each passing day. Never hated bronies this much.

The Christmas videos where his mom kept fucking up the gifts were some of the funniest videos he ever made.

to answer your question several days later, I'd say, yeah, it was pretty good. I've noticed that, for whatever reason, Tamers makes the lezbo-relationships-episodes funny, and the gay stallions episodes so un-fucking-bearable. I'd say, if you can stomach the ponyshit, give it a watch.

Even the lesbian stuff is turning to shit now that Twlight and Trixie are married and have a family, two members of said family being fucking OCs. But it’s simply fascinating how utterly shit the gay stuff is in comparison. You’d think Tamers could do better since he’s handled Bardonic and especially Sleengo so well for literal years.

Tamers knows how to write romantic angst and turmoil because that's his favorite thing in the world. Married or otherwise formal couples can have interesting conflict, but it's not his specialty. If Sleet were to ever go "okay Dingo I'm gay for you now, let's be a couple" Tamers would probably not know what to do next. In fact we know he wouldn't know since Knuxonia ran out of stuff to do when that happened.

He's not so subtly trying to cater to two fanbases at once. There's fans that initially liked the old pony videos(up until roughly Shattered Harmony, but the divide isn't super clear), and then fans that like gay shit. Unfortunately this strategy seems to be working, he's making more money than ever.
