TASKFORCE ∅ - This is my swamp

Swamp feels very inconvenient to live in, even if the house is 100% self-sufficient (food, water, electricity, etc.).

Do I have to stay in the swamp?
Can I have body double / decoy in the house while I ride motorcycle through an escape tunnel like El Chapo?

If the attack is ranged (drone, fire, artillery), it's troublesome.
If they want to be up close and personal, I'd make it very inconvenient for them to even attempt it.
Thorny & stinky plants along the way.

If I could rely on other people, it's either military or cartel.
Rent the land around my swamp house to them.
Trespassed military base / cartel farmhouse? shoot on sight.

I'm going to second what a lot of people here have said: get a watchdog. From personal experience, I can recommend GSRs and Chow Chows as solid, dependable breeds. Avoid pit mixes, "terrier" mixes, and wolfdogs like the devil. Avoid dogs with piebald coats and dogs with white fur (especially around the ears) - they have a tendency to become deaf, which is the last quality you want in a watchdog.

Also keep in mind your dog may BARK BARK while streaming, and you'll have to step away for a couple of minutes to talk to him and see what's wrong. Have a video ready to queue up in the event this happens.

Do not name your dog after e-celebs or forum users.

If Null wants to go full defense in detail of last resort he should look into OZONE generators. Carpet cleaners use them to eliminate any bacteria or sulfur compounds embedded in carpets after cleaning that produce the majority of smells. Ozone is NOT breathable to humans with immediate effect with small amounts and requires carpet cleaners to close all windows and doors and seal them when deploying the Ozone to make it effective. Even after that you need to leave the windows open and air out the space with ventilation for a full day at least to make sure no more ozone is left. Having a foyer or entrance that can be blocked off and have ozone generators primed to go off can be a deadly area denial method as ozone is colourless, odourless and silent.
From the EPA: https://www.epa.gov/indoor-air-quality-iaq/ozone-generators-are-sold-air-cleaners
The same chemical properties that allow high concentrations of ozone to react with organic material outside the body give it the ability to react with similar organic material that makes up the body, and potentially cause harmful health consequences. When inhaled, ozone can damage the lungs. Relatively low amounts can cause chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath and throat irritation. Ozone may also worsen chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma and compromise the ability of the body to fight respiratory infections. People vary widely in their susceptibility to ozone. Healthy people, as well as those with respiratory difficulty, can experience breathing problems when exposed to ozone. Exercise during exposure to ozone causes a greater amount of ozone to be inhaled, and increases the risk of harmful respiratory effects. Recovery from the harmful effects can occur following short-term exposure to low levels of ozone, but health effects may become more damaging and recovery less certain at higher levels or from longer exposures (US EPA, 1996a, 1996b).

as ozone is colourless, odourless and silent.
Colorless, yes.
Silent, yes.
Odorless? No. Ozone is a stinky gas. The name literally comes from the Greek ὄζειν, "to smell." If your intent is to gas out intruders with ozone, as long as they have a working nose, they WILL know.

I'm not an expert on this sort of thing, but my dad was a military vet and he said his plan to defend the home if shtf is to set up sand bags around one area that you can easily defend and simply hold the line there.

Also, I'd personally throw down caltrops around the property and put bars over the windows to prevent them from throwing explosives into your house.

Hey Josh, here are some basics for surviving a firefight that should give you an extra 5% survival rate. Also the island thing sounds like a good idea.
This is a good video with good perspective. I would hate for us throw so much at him at once he can't find the right starting line though. I think we need to emphasize that realistically he (and most people here) aren't on that step in the process yet. Josh is a new-to-shootz who needs the right tools and training foundation in case of a home invasion or targeted act of violence while out and about. That means him, the gun at hand, and whatever prepatory training he has brought with him. These are skills learned and reinforced on a flat range and dryfire. Battlefield sustainment, communication, and movement are critical building blocks, but not the foundation to start off with. Before you have a fireteam, aim to be a competent enough to be a useful team member.

Marksmanship, his draw, and his general weapon handling are where the initial energy go. Building or buying a rifle and handgun that will last the length of the learning curve is where initial funds go.

Chow Chows are great, loyal dogs (and adorable) but not a good fit for a hot humid climate.

...This is true. Accounting for climate kind of slipped my mind.
My boy's a mix between the two, with a little bit of beagle sprinkled in. I always forget how floofy the purebred Chows are until I see pictures of them.

Gear is not an issue in this sort of hypothetical. Methodology and information are what you need to worry about.

What the hypothetical kill team will try to do is 1: suppress you (meaning shoot the shit out of where they think you are so that you can't maneuver) 2: surround you (negating your cover, spreading out your fire, and blocking any escape route) and 3: destroy (move in for the kill, typically by grenade spam. In fact the marine handbook says to perform this step "with excessive use of grenades". )

In other words, if they catch you off guard, you can have advance plasma weaponry that negates all body armor, and you're still fucked. You will be overwhelmed.

To negate their advantage, you will need advanced warning of the attack, and preferably reinforcements. If battle buddies are not available, automated security such as traps and motion alarms will be needed to negate enemy maneuvering.

If you want weaponry good against body armor, I suggest 7.62 NATO in fmj, or buckshot. Buckshot is great because it is great at making people bleed, and the field medical handbook for the army describes the pelvic region as "a target dense environment that is unarmored".

Also, has the hypothetical ram ranch compound been purchased yet? Because I have this good friend who has property he wants to develop, and is looking to have someone live there.

Nigger adding a suppressor is like adding an extended barrel except its a big fucking black rubber dildo instead of metal. Suprisingly guns dont work like video game physics because God doesnt care about good balancing.
its not increasing it much more than the extreme spread of the ammunition. results indicate that sound suppressors can have the effect of reducing bullet yaw and drag significantly, and can also have small effects on muzzle velocity. so I dont feel the need for more discussion from you nit picking autismics. you act as if its gaining 500 fps er some shit, who the fuck cares about some picayune increase?

No it was more the retards arguing that it reduces bullet veolcity

I quoted the wrong post because retard
were all retards here. the bad machines dont know theyre bad machines.

"You see, we all - come from a factory and, sometimes, the factory makes bad machines. They don't work. So, they put them here. The bad machines don't know that they're bad machines. But, the people at the factory know. They know that you are one of the machines that doesn't work."

I'm just gonna drop this here.
Turn any AR15 into full auto without a dumb fucking bumpstock with a simple wire coathanger.
Easy to take out and conceal when you dont need it.
Your ammo bill just quadrupled.
Thank me later.
LAMO. Remember Do Not do this. See these pics, this is the wrong way and make sure no one did this to your AR if buying used. I repeat Pics is only for clarifying what NOT to do. Breen pic is to remind you of some range faggot will snitch if they hear select fire instead of "full" Semi-Auto

My suggestion is for Josh to conspicuously fortify his Shrek shack, then secretly live in a sublet someplace else, where he's known predominantly for wearing socks with sandals. To flesh out the ruse, you can install an inflatable bathtub clown in the window of the shack to act as a decoy drawing would-be attackers past a hidden surveillance donkey powered by a nearby diesel generator.

I haven't seen that version for a while I lost it with my old laptop so thanks.
You're better only doing this from an 80% for obvious reasons and I wouldn't take it to a public range around fudds.
