Want an honest non-meme explanation? How the fuck can you be "unsafe" on Twitter?
Because the thought of someone hating you (or, in the most ridiculous context, telling you you are wrong about something), enters your brain and stays there and it affects you, either because you're too narcissist or too insecure.
When you're either of these two, you spend too much time thinking on yourself and nothing else that isn't related to yourself. The whole world orbits around you. The thought of certain people having negative ideas of you won't leave and it makes you realise that the world isn't as favorable towards you as you thought, that certain people can indeed wish you harm and even hurt you.
Taylor spends most of her day thinking about what others think of her. She expects those thoughts will be positive because she thinks her education and position have granted her a place of superiority over others who should admire her. As she doesn't have that "protection", then she is unsafe, either in the real world or worse, inside her head.
I'm not saying this is good, but this is how narcissist/insecure people tend to behave and think. What other people think of them can indeed hurt them and make them even feel physical pain. It's not something they do in purpose, it's how these fuckers are wired.
