In her case I question if it's as much that she wants kids, or if it's more that she's obsessed with her own age and fading relevance, and children trigger that.

She hates children and mothers because people fuss over them, when they should be fussing over her.

If she did have a kid, it would be a disaster. She'd absolutely be one of those women who secretly despises her children for stealing attention from her. That poor thing would be so fucked up.

I don't think she has a problem being childless, she just wishes she could stay a hip upstart teenager who everyone fawns over forever. In the absence of that, she resorts to attacking anyone who makes her feel obsolete.

It's funny, I read that exchange twice, could make no sense of it, then took the screenshot and posted it. God bless you for trying to figure it out. I just read it a third time and again my brain just kind of shrugged and turned off. There are multiple explanations for whatever the hell was going on there, assuming any of it is true, but Occam's razor tells me that the answer is: Munchausen's.
