Do you have a link for this tweet? I cannot find it on her timeline, and the screenshot shows a blue check, which she has not had for a long time. And the name doesn't match either (she changed her bio name to her Substack page). It looks fake, as does the previous one with the "bug" typo.

Edit: Never mind it's from Threads. Still a link would be helpful, but when I follow the link on Threads from her timeline I get a "not found" error: https://www.threads.net/t/Cupp8xnS0Hf I assume Threads is broken and barely works.

How much money does Bezos pay her to post misinformation and outright lies?
Pretty sure the editor at WP doesn't do their job really so it's fine for Taylor to post her garbage without any fact checking. She would have been perfect for Fox News.

Taylor's seething so hard. For those who aren't aware, the ad revenue sharing program is only available to Twitter Blue subscribers. Lorenz, if she wants to get paid, has to swallow her pride and pay up. I wouldn't be surprised if FOMO has her quietly adding a blue checkmark in the coming weeks or months.

I think future payouts won't be nearly as high as the numbers everyone is bragging about right now tbh. I get the feeling this is several months of back pay to generate hype. There's a lot of people who for years have desperately wanted to get paid for tweeting and now they can. I think a lot of anti-checkmark people will cuck out soon and pay for Blue.

Something I always laugh about when it comes to Taylor Lorenz is that her dad also went to CU Boulder, which means she probably got into that school as a legacy admission.
I applied for CU as a backup to my backups and didn't even hand them a SAT or ACT score and was approved.

That would still be entirely reasonable compensation for something they were doing for free for years anyway, especially considering many of them were doing it to promote what they were already being paid for. That makes it pure gravy.

A lot, like, six-figures salaries, possibly even seven-figure salaries.
 
Taylor makes no less than $150k at WaPo, and probably significantly more. I imagine she has her Substack monetized in some fashion, and of course she got a huge advance for her upcoming trash gay musings about technology book.

And despite all this, she cried on Christmas day about a rejected medical claim (nope, I didn’t make that up).

I just wish she’d try a bit harder. She is a HACK but that doesn’t mean that your work is completely without integrity, just its content. She could try to write well. She could get the basic, non-message-impeding facts right. But no. It’s just schlock.

She's a good example why you should only go to dedicated tech sites for tech information. I doubt she knows how to check for updates on whatever word processor she uses and just hopes it will automatically update itself. She's the female Milo Yiannopoulos, just that she found an easier way to scam people out of their money with less work. Only real difference is is that Milo can at least find guys to fuck him, no one wants to do that with Taylor.

Agreed. “Prominent” journalists like her make comfortable six figure salaries and the other type of journalists make $30-40k. The type to order $22 avocado toast and fly around to harass political enemies on a regular basis. A nice gig if you can get it.
