>Keffals and Wu have had a troon pin the blame for their suicide onto them (Much like how Byuu pinned his fake suicide stunt on KF and Lucas pinned the blame for his swatting on KF)
>Taylor Lorenz is crying about Wikipedia's inherent flaw of using biased news articles to smear targets that the admins dislike
>All of this happens after Null crowdfunds $100k+ USD for legal defense

Is this irony week or some shit? Every idiot involved with DropKF seems to be falling on their own sword recently. What's next, is Fong Jones' accuser going to come out with a lawsuit of their own against him?
And all in the same week as the 11th anniversary too! Fuck , this is a helluva week.
Honestly her bitching about the wiki not fucking worshiping her hard enough isn't shocking, but it makes her look even worse. She would be better admitting she fucked up, but I doubt this will EVER happen.

Wikipedia really lost me with the whole Haruhi Problem debacle. Basically a /sci/ thread actually proved a new result in mathematics, and wikipedia refused to cite the actual thread, saying that it wasn't trustworthy. The article they chose to cite directly used the thread as its own source.

Wikipedia has a policy where you literally cannot do any sort of research or first hand reporting, you HAVE to get your information laundered by a "trusted source" for them to accept it.

It was already a issue back when the site was young and still somewhat trustworthy, like a infamous case of some dude who bought a NYT colum just so he could talk shit about Wikipedia and be able to correct his own page. But nowadays it works as a censorship by obfuscation since it doesn't matter if you see it with your own eyes and record with your own camera and get a dozen witnesses and a thousand pages of proof, if you don't have a CNN journigger putting it on their fucking Pravda publication you have no source to cite and thus no way to actually add the info to the wiki.

That's how it works. They're a "free" Encyclopedia, but you're only allowed to cite 10 websites. You can get away with citing anything, but the nanosecond some tranny janny gets testicular torsion over it, he can throw the book at you and litigate it in the Janny Tranny Court of Wikipedia (you're not invited to participate) and get what he wants, every time. LFJ has one of these retards in his pocket which is why everything related to him and honeycomb is flawless and idolizing and our articles literally claim we murder people.

You should vigorously advocate for the total destruction of Wikipedia and the Wikimedia Foundation. Jimmy Wales should be thrown in a fucking dungeon for sending humanity into a new dark age controlled by a literal eunuch caste like we're in fucking feudal china.

There's actually a good market for a real encyclopedia right now. If Encyclopedia Britannica was better, I'd pay $10/mo or whatever to support them.

I used to be able to defend wikipedia as a source aggregator or for STEM, but that entire incident showed me that the editorialization and rot extended even into entirely apolitical subjects.

The thing I hate is, without fail, year after year, they beg post like they are literally dying and someone is at the wall socket about to unhook the servers if you don't give them money. It's always rubbed me the wrong way. Especially knowing now how they're bankrolled by governments and have a slush fund that'll last until the sun explodes.

Which, unless I am mistaken, means that if we say use the recent Epik kafuffle as an example;

Trusted Source (most likely something like Kotaku or Polygon) reports "Epik says Kiwifarms host CP!"
Null wins a lawsuit that amongst other things requires them not only to take down the original claim but post a clarification that that was a lying lie (that lied)
If no trusted sources correct the record Wikipedia does not need to be edited, even if the quote from the company itself that was the source for the original article has been confirmed as an outright lie by that same company.
Wikipedia's talk section will feature a brief discussion about this where it is confirmed that is the case
They will delete that rapidly because any newcomers to the site's discussion section who read that will go "wait, what the fuck?"

Or to to summarise that whole post, given we are in the right thread for it, Wikipedia editors are journalists. The truth is an inconvenience.

The Wikimedia foundation is a black hole of HR and NGO horseshit. I remember this one incident that made me MATI as fuck where they tried to "boost the participation of black women on STEM" and they did it by bankrolling some neggress research on marine life. Except she was incompetent as fuck and just killed a research subject octopus for no reason.

Those are expensive as fuck to get and use. There is legitimate researchers out there who need it, and this bitch got this animal and killed it because she was too much of a retard to care for it. Octopi are pretty smart too, closer to human smart than even dogs so that just made it worse that she let it die due to incompetence and lack of care. And of course Wikimedia didn't give a shit and just kept bankrolling her research now without octopi.

Wikipedia deserves no money.
