For multiple days now a delusional woman TikToker and her TikToker boyfriend have been stalking and harassing me bc they falsely believe I had an affair w Elon Musk and my family controls the Internet Archive. They’re now harassing and doxxing my family member

They’re also stalking and harassing people who I’m not related to but who they falsely believe I’m related to. Unlike Twitter and IG, there’s no one to fact check stuff in real time so it doesn’t spread and TikTok doesn’t moderate this type of harassment.

This is why conspiracies spread so far/wide on TikTok in a way they don’t on other platforms. It contributes to media illiteracy & while it’s funny to laugh at how absurd these claims are, the obsession w doxxing my family members and ppl they believe to be my family is sick

My entire family has been doxxed, harassed, and made the subject of endless conspiracies. They’re literally just normal, offline ppl living a quiet life. They don’t control the internet, they don’t have political connections, they don’t have any institutional power in the world

The fact that TikTok doesn’t consider this stalking and harassment is insane. My family is not part of some secret billionaire psy op. They are normal ppl who work completely offline regular jobs and these TikTok content creators are directing followers to harass them.

TikTok’s refusal to do anything to even remotely mitigate harassment and stalking on its platform is completely irresponsible. If you’ve experienced this yourself I’d love to talk to you, this problem has clearly escalated in recent years.

Already facing scandal, the Washington Post's new-ish CEO and publisher, Will Lewis, has announced that the newspaper will be pivoting to artificial intelligence to turn around its dismal financial situation.

As Semafor media industry editor Max Tani tweeted, Lewis told Post staffers today that the newspaper will be looking for ways to use AI in its reporting as it seeks to recoup some of the $77 million it lost last year.

"To speak candidly: We are in a hole, and we have been for some time," the CEO said, per an announcement. "This is all repairable, all doable, particularly if we do it together."

The paper's chief technology officer, meanwhile, announced to staffers that going forward, WaPo is to have "AI everywhere in our newsroom," according to Tani. It's unclear, however, what exactly that directive will entail.
