Careercow Taylor Lorenz - Crybully "journalist", self-appointed Internet Hall Monitor, professional victim, stalks teenagers for e-clout

Like beating a dead horse that died 10 1/2 years ago.
COVID is also a dead horse that died 3 years ago and she’s beating that too.

And she’s mad about Biden being a failure?

Biden was a failure because he didn’t declare victory over COVID and start rolling back relief measures at the end of his first hundred days. Instead he signed the rescue plan and ignited the inflation. He kept giving a shit about COVID, just like she is doing.

Most journalists never gave a flying fuck about it the first time, and I guarantee the vast majority have completely forgotten about it.
Doubtful; Sarkeesian and Quinn made it to the UN, and the amount of pieces I've read blaming Gamergate for Trump is a bizarre amount.

People pushed against their bullshit and they seethed.

I don’t consider those people “journalists,” — Sarkeesian, for example, was a blogger for her own platform and never worked for a major media outlet; Zoe Quinn straight up wasn’t a journalist at all — and a handful of loud idiots on social media does not mean that the views, beliefs, or general knowledge are widely shared amongst all in the industry.

A lot of the journalist whisper network is tired of Taylor. Some people don’t even hide their disdain for her anymore.

These people were lionized by the journalist class at the time for pushback against the rightoids who were sick of nepotism in media. (See: pieces being written against people who are against Sweet Baby Inc's shit now)

Gamergaters were widely blamed for Trump, because uh, muh feminisms. Lorenz in particular is STILL BITCHING ABOUT IT

Gamergate also led to the alt right to Nazi pipeline.

What I'm getting at here is that this certain class of people has been using Gamergate forever as a shorthand for people who hate them.

Lolcow crossover with Alyssa Mercante on Spotify, talking about GamerGate and how she's the victim.
Didn't realize before, but TayTay uploaded a video of the talk between her and Alyssa:

I watched this other recent video from TayTay about the young men working for Elon Musk's DOGE. It has a lot of views compared to her other videos:

You can really tell that she (and her guest) have a seething hatred for them. :story: For example, the DOGE interns get referred to as "broccoli-haired zoomers" and "former iPad babies and incels".

Noteworthy quote from TayTay:
Musk has gone to great lengths to hide their identities. He has falsely claimed that naming them is illegal, and on Monday he began banning accounts that tweeted about them, calling it "doxing". Doxing used to mean publishing somebody's private information, like their social security number or their home address. And to be clear, I still think that's very wrong, but now conservatives are trying to claim that it means simply naming public servants.
I think that revealing the identities of the Gen Z men who are now playing a crucial role in our federal government is very much in the public interest. These are teenagers in some cases who have been given an extreme amount of power and authority over our federal institutions nearly overnight with absolutely no public vetting. They are at the center of a government takeover, working at the behest of a powerful unelected billionaire. We should know their names...
So... once again, Taylor Lorenz is making excuses for why doxing is akshually a good thing (and shouldn't even be considered doxing! 🙄) if it's done to people she doesn't like. No bad tactics, only bad targets.

Also, she tries to play it off as if people on social media were "just" posting the DOGE kids' names. Lol no. TayTay knows damn well that people were digging up every possible scrap of information about them (including their family members' home addresses) and posting it alongside calls for violence.
Honestly, I don't even disagree with her that there's a legitimate public interest in knowing the identities of the DOGE team. It's the hypocrisy about doxing that gets me. "It's ok when we do it." :) - TayTay, essentially.

(Oh btw, Ben Collins gets a random shout-out around 18:56.)

I had to look up TayTay's guest speaker in this video after he made several weird & hysterical comments.
(For example, he said Project 2025 was going to turn the US into The Handmaid's Tale and that apps in Asian/European/South American countries are "lightyears ahead" of the US due to US tech stagnation.)

His name is Ryan Broderick. He's a former Buzzfeed journalist who was fired for extensive plagiarism throughout his career. :story:
In June 2020, Broderick was fired from BuzzFeed for direct plagiarism in authored articles spanning over the course of his entire employment as a journalist there.[10][24] BuzzFeed News issued an apology.[25]
Nice guest, TayTay!
