Why are so many of the SaveTF2 people hung up on the bots spamming "twansphobwic" and "rayciss" stuff when the whole point is the games almost unplayable now

wtf I love bots nowEasier fortwitter usersthe layman to understand the problem is bad. Not only are the bots making the game unplayable, but they're posting RACIST and TRANSPHOBIC messages in chat.
Maybe they're also expecting valve to add anti toxicity systems like in overwatch or other blizzard games. There's nothing really preventing you from calling someone a nigger in any valve game, other than risking a vote kick or if you're playing on a community server.
Presumably because the average normie doesn't really give a shit about people cheating in video games, but cares about people spamming mean words. Plus it means it's more likely that a major internet news outlet will pick up on considering how much those outlets moo about "toxicity in video games".Why are so many of the SaveTF2 people hung up on the bots spamming "twansphobwic" and "rayciss" stuff when the whole point is the games almost unplayable now
The average normie cares about neither of these things. They have better things to do than to care about a decade+ old war-themed fashion simulator being infested with virgin bots, or care about people saying mean things on the internetPresumably because the average normie doesn't really give a shit about people cheating in video games, but cares about people spamming mean words. I'm sure they'll get right on that and-The TF2 team has tweeted their response to the ongoing protests

Nothing quite says "We're gonna do something" like the single TF2 dev finding the official twitter's password after two years and posting a vague, boilerplate response 20 minutes before closing time. Good job, TF2 community, I hope it was worth it.The TF2 team has tweeted their response to the ongoing protests

Because people still play the game...The game has been going on for nearly like 15 years now, why can't they just let it die? Its had a good run and parading the corpse of the game around like this just looks pathetic.
I've seen this shit with Gaijin Entertainment and their responses to every War Thunder controversy, I'm definitely not optimistic on this but the number of actual gullible retards that would fall for this still gets me every time. The TF2 team has tweeted their response to the ongoing protests

Why get rid of something if people are gonna just keep tossing money at it anyways.why can't they just let it die?
Lmfao they're going to change something real simple which will fuck up the bots for a week and then they'll forget about it for another 2 yearsThe TF2 team has tweeted their response to the ongoing protests

Overwatch has done so much less with so many more resources. It's insane. And not to mention that TF2's competitors aren't in a better state, and some of them are in either even worse shape (Overwatch with the diversity chart deal, and Paladins's lack of polish and atrocious matchmaking), or dead. (Battleborn, LawBreakers)
Source code leak or not, this would have happened regardless. As has been shown in recent years, decompiling a game is just something you can do, and decompiling software compiled on linux or mac will immediately produce semi-readable source code, so all the leak probably did was just make this whole thing easier to do. And that's on top of there already being a publicly available source sdk released by valve. Even without this latest leak, source games have had a massive cheating problem since forever, and now making a vac undetectable cheat is easy to do with the info on how being publicly available. So some determined sperg making a cheat that plays the game itself was honestly inevitableCorrect me if I'm wrong but because of the source code leak no matter what they do they won't be able to truly fix the bot problem right
This whole gay thing is just for nothing at the end of the day, right

I want tf2 to return to the old days of human players micspamming homophobic audio. Why are so many of the SaveTF2 people hung up on the bots spamming "twansphobwic" and "rayciss" stuff when the whole point is the games almost unplayable now
I honestly think Valve and the TF2 fanbase are perfect for each other. One side are a bunch of complacent greedy fucks that have all the money in the world and refused to improve on their client (the Steam Client being an annoying piece of shit software) and games while also popularizing some of the greediest shit to have been graced in the game industry, lootboxes, battlepasses and arguably, F2P in general. The fanbase is the result of all your complacency and greedy antics eventually cropping up and creating an invariably toxic fanbase that never refuses to shut up, keeps bringing up trans shit and turning the game into a massive shitfest of bots, dogshit anti-cheat and more dogshit players, all because Valve kept looking at things at such a short-sighted way than most game developers when it comes to maintaining it that they should have fostered a healthy relationship with the fanbase through communication.translation from corporate PR speech - "lol"
this is still no guarantee that valve will do anything with the game or be successful in whatever anti-cheat measures or content updates they add. remember when gabe said that a new update is coming for TF2?
i'll be waiting for actual action rather than a quick tweet made to appease the twitter and reddit horde.
