Hahaha, I'm kind of surprised they removed it considering Valve's drastic change in free speech & working with SBI recently, I kind of took for granted the freedom we had on Steam, I remember all the crazy ass Steam groups people would make & spam you with, literal porn as profile pictures, tons of insane names & avatars, it was the wild west back then man lmfao. I genuinely thought Valve would've never changed on these stances speech wise, but damn was I wrong.
I cannot think of any game that people still play as much as TF2 that you can say literally whatever the fuck you want in chat & be fine, Valve games are special in this aspect.
(Used to be, thanks for rage adding chat filters, & having the UI to disable it be ugly as fuck, fags.) (Also I've been hearing that Valve has been banning people based on speech, is this true? I heard a known sperg "LEMONBOMBER!!!" got banned, I highly doubt he's a cheater since I've seen him in game before and he sucks bawlz.
I kind of miss it, now you get rage banned for "harassment", "discrimination", "insults" and other gay shit. I'm still amazed how fast gaming got fagified, not even 15 years ago we could speak to each other in any matter we wanted without a problem, and it was still some of the most fun I had in gaming, both participating in and listening to the crazy shit people would say and do.
On a side-note about old Steam, I miss Steam groups, people used to take them seriously and a ton of clans, communities, & other shit was started/organized on there. I also miss the raffle & free games groups being genuinely dedicated.
