Has the song for the "Meet the Sniper" trailer ever been posted anywhere? The best version of it I can find is an edit that removes the rest of the audio, but the quality suffers for it:

It's a rendition of the theme to Magnum Force that AFAIK was made specifically for TF2. Here's Magnum Force:

I really like the Meet The Sniper version, just can't find a good quality track of it.

As a mostly irrelevant side note, part of the Magnum Force theme was also used by Wingsofredemption as his channel intro in the MW2 days:

My educated guess is that Valve re-recorded the song for MTS, but due to licensing can't release it as a song.

comic has finally been uploaded, probably get ready to get disappointed
aaaand the comic is pretty okay as an ending?
it's mostly a flashback-filled comic that build up to "let things end so that we can move on to an happier future", ironic considering the situation of the game

e: actually thinking about it, while this ending is just okay per-se, it's still a very sour ending on a meta aspect since as i write again, this is more of a "fuck off we don't care anymore get a life" ending

I don't even know how to feel.
Nothing feels resolved, all the loose ends and plot threads just kinda vanish.
We get an indication for why the Administrator is torturing Zepheniah with the cover pages
We finally understand what the hell she was doing with the Australium this whole time
We finally get a deeper grasp of why the conflict between Redmond and Blutarch was still going on even in their advanced age
We finally understand how Gray even got the Australium to begin with
Merasmus gets to live and sing in the afterlife with the man he adores
We get a full reveal of Scout's name
We get confirmation that Doe is Soldier's actual last name
Official depiction of Spy without his balaclava for the first time since the game launched
Olivia is freed from the burden of Mann Co.
Saxton and Maggie get a satisfying ending that begs the reader to ask if immortality is worth it
How is that not satisfying enough for you

Also confirmation that Pauling's first name is Flo.

I don't remember any plot details but I think it was was a nice send-off, though I imagine someone's going to try and tear it to shreds and say it's a terrible ending. I think it went for a "cosy" ending because a lot of media nowadays tries to evoke that feeling, if it was finished a few years ago it probably would have had a more adventurous tone to the ending.

You know what, this is probably the best outcome we could have hoped for in terms of how the comic and series as a whole could have ended.

It's not nihilistically cynical like that one leak suggested a few years back, nor is it blindly optimistic in it putting up the idea that the glory days are still around. As shown in the story, the original purpose for this entire thing has gone on for so long that it's been diluted into nothing. That doesn't mean it never meant anything to begin with because it did at one point, however, there comes a point where we gotta recognize that the best course of action for everybody is to move on to more promising things in our lives. There will be more games for us to enjoy, even if they're increasingly rarer events. Bitter-sweet and inglorious, yet better than trying to continue whatever stalemate that's been going on for over ten years at this point.

If the Administrator and Zepheniah are representations of the "Community" and "Game" then Saxoton Hale is a representation of the OG Fan who's come back to fix the entire company only to find out he loves the thrill, not the entity himself. So he gives it to whatever janitors remain to have as much fun as he can before he dies with the people he loves. That's probably what the Devs of the original TF2 envisioned the spirit of the franchise all those years back.

Thanks for the memories, you were a good son, real good; maybe even the best.

Way too saccharine sweet. I hate the hallmark holiday Christmas ending, its like a friggin parody. Maybe its just me, but I hate the fact that they get to live such perfect little happy lives together after all the evil things theyve done and do. I have to give them credit for figuring out a way to write themselves out a hole of having to explain for what happens, turns out you just don't have to explain anything at all.

Also. I like the fact that they now just pretend that this guy doesn't exist. Even they didnt know what to do with him.

The amount of sympathy I feel for these guys is perhaps unmatched by any other fictional characters I've ever known.

The TF2 mercs are a tiny miracle, lightning in a bottle, I truly do not believe anyone today could make a cast as amusing and endearing.
