I don't know why they think they'll all make it big only lani and takahata have any real acting chops to begin with
Honestly, I wouldn't say either Takahata has the chops because his Alucard voice sounds the same as his Cell voice. I'd say, it's more Lani and even Kuribo who have better chances making into the VA bizz.

Nolan North and Steve Blumb kinda have a better range than Takahata does.

Look there's plenty plenty to criticize tfs for but give credit where due at least

I've heard Takahata101 in DBZA as Nappa and Cell, HUA as Alucard, and Sword Art Online: Abridged as Kayaba/Heathcliff. I don't know if he has range per se, but he does have talent.

Lani has a good range, so I think he could make it as a VA.

That being said, as discussed earlier in this thread, I don't think they'll ever get far dubbing anime. Toei has essentially blacklisted them due to DBZA. They might get VA work for dubs under a new company or with pseudonyms, but I doubt we'll ever see TFS make it big as it currently stands.

Kaiser and Lani make all of the decisions, if they wanted Taka to do the same voice, that's what he'll give them. Don't forget, Taka also voiced all stages of Cell differently.
I'd get that, but Hellsing Abridged was Taka's show, which means he had a much more final say in the matter of how the character sounds.

I wish Lanipator would rescue his old DBZ movie reviews from the pits of Blip. Those were pretty funny,

Toriyama isn't the most technically adept writer but he is still very talented. For a series that Toriyama has admitted multiple times to writing by the seat of his pants, it holds up very well. He has a natural talent for sequential art.

Holier than thou know it alls like TFS think they could "fix" the writing in Dragon Ball like for the Cell arc and such. Any idiot with enough hindsight can use someone else's work and touch it up some to make it marginally better. That isn't being talented. Check out any of their "original" material and see what untalented hacks they are when they have to come up with original ideas.

Though serious dragonball can be done well, remember the future trunks movie and the first bardock? toriyama never wrote those.
The history of Trunks TV special is literally based on a special chapter that Toriyama drew.

He may not be the best writer, but I will admit he struck gold with Dragon Ball.
People forget that Dragon Ball is the second popular manga that Toriyama created at the time. He was already a household name from Dr. Slump. He's not a one hit wonder by any means.

I think for these people it’s just to avoid twittertards who like to bitch about old media all the time. However TFS takes it worse since they sniff their own farts all the time
They have long become the twittertards.
I actually used to follow a few of these guys on Twitter a while back (when I still used Twitter) and I don't think it was just to avoid the Twitter mob, I think they legitimately believe in the rhetoric they were spewing.

I've followed people who mellowed out a bit so as to not draw Twitter's ire, and while sometime their quality dropped a bit, I could tell it was because they were trying to be entertaining while also not getting cancelled. Side note; most of these kinds of people vocally express their disdain for Twitter, but you almost have to use it now-a-days if you're a content creator. That said, these people usually stayed away from politics and most forms of drama.

TFS, on the other hand, I remember retweeting a crap load of stuff shitting on Republicans but always seemed to go quiet on politics whenever some shit on Democrats surfaced. I think the biggest example of lunacy was when Kaiser tweeted something saying that basically anyone who voted Republican or 3rd party didn't care about LGBT+ rights. I know the elections made most people at least a little bit stupid, that's understandable, but even in the worst of it most people were self-aware enough to remember that these were just a conflict of beliefs on what was the best (or least bad) for the country and not some bullshit "good v.s evil" fairy tale where they were the good guys and anyone against them was an evil that needed to be turned to their side or squashed out. But not TFS I guess...

I agree these guys have gotten an ego and certainly sniff their own farts, but I believe that they genuinely buy into the Twitter mindset, or at least most of them do and the few that don't go along with it so as not to cause a division within the group.
IIRC, Lani literally had a now deleted video about him seething & crying like a bitch on YT when Trump won.
They also did shorts explicitly equating Trump to Frieza. Yes, the guy whose old money grants him supermodel pussy-grabbing privileges is exactly the same as the guy who regularly commits planetary genocide to turn in profits for his real estate business. :smug:

They were in the Kai dub of the Buu saga as the actors recreating the Cell fight
Yeah, but that was only in the original TV airing, and even then that was only because of a mistake on Adult Swim's part. Funimaion replaced them in ever other version iirc.

Geekdom was part of that too right? That video may still be on YT, cause if not, it is on Internet Archive.

I mean, Patrick Warburton has basically made his career on having only one voice, so stranger things have happened
