Tech related YouTube channels - List of helpful content creators for those who prefer visual learning.

I'd like to add some of my favorite tech channels:
Budget Builds Official Similar to lowspecgamer but focusing a bit more on unusual hardware, with a decent dose of humor as well.
Mark Weeb Paprium aka Retro Core This guy does many retro gaming videos, and often compares different ports of retro games on different platforms, including more obscure Japanese ones in his "Battle of the ports" series, reviews some bootleg emulator handhelds, and every once in a while does Life in Japan videos. Now, beware, he's kind of a weeb as well, and seems somewhat biased against western made games, even quality ones, which might put someone off. But, other than that, he makes quality videos.
The 8 Bit Guy This dude covers more than just retro gaming, he covers retro computers as well, though he used to make Apple fanboy videos as well as some 1980s keyboard (the ones that have music coming out) videos, the latter being better content. He does seem to be a bit of a sperg or stereotypical nerd at times, tho, and videos about stuff he's not that knowledgeable about can be kinda trash but he seems to try to hide it as much as possible. His GPD Win review is kinda infamous for being really crap compared to many of his other videos. And The NES portion of his "how oldschool graphics worked" is also very superficial. But his retro computer videos, especially restoration videos are very high quality videos that I definitely recommend to watch.
Nostalgia Nerd Similar to The 8 Bit Guy, but bri'ish and more focusing on tech stories from a Bri'ish point of view.
Ben Eater Now this is a channel for those that are real turbo nerds and find these other tech YouTubers too plebeian, normie or lacking divine intellect. His videos are more educational about some low level stuff, even lower level than just writing asm code. Again, turbo nerd stuff.

I could probably list some more, but there's a greater chance they'll be already listed, so I'll leave it at that.

Look Mum No Computer. He's an electronic musician that does weird experiments with DIY synthezisers and such. Like for example, this organ he made out of Furbies;
Or this giant synth he made out of a bunch of Gameboys.

That's funny, I remember seeing this guy years ago on BBC News once inbetween the usual filler stories on TV, and I've been subbed to him ever since then. Really cool stuff on his channel.

LTT has fallen to the point where they just mindlessly shill big tech companies while giving bottom of the barrel review and tech commentary

The only actual critique is a once a week show where he actually doesn't sound like a mindless bot

LTT hasn't really fallen that much, then. Linus has always been a shill.

The only thing he has going for him is that his face is marginally less punchable than Scott The Woz's.

But there was a point where Linus did have the ability to criticize shitty practices from companies like Apple and Red. Now the only criticism is to Spy lab for selling a poorly made product despite him buying it used from someone else.

It seems like LTT just excuses Apples disgusting practices to the point that they claim how people who dislike apple are just reaching for an excuse. Despite having to deal with their shitty customer support they STILL haven't improved (it's arguably worse), I guess it doesn't matter now that they aren't affected anymore.

Also Scott is 1000x more likeable than Linus.

Techmoan did a video on CD players, and accidentally made this hand gesture, so I made a gif of it and don't really know where else to post it.

One thing that is admirable about Rossman is that when he's got a guest on he goes all out on the praise and then takes a step back so the main (camera) focus is on them and what they're doing in a way many other channels won't.

On a similar note, I have a preference for channels where the tech is the star of the show. VWestlife is a classic example. You never see his face and he has very little personality in his voice, but he's very good at explaining and demonstrating the tech. I can even look past the fact that VWestlife's camera angles and overall style is stuck in 2007 (tbh I find it oddly comfy).

Then you have channels where the creator does their best to focus on the tech by providing multiple camera shots, macro close-ups etc etc yet their personality seeps into the overall presentation despite their efforts. The irony here being that the harder the creator tries to make it about the tech, the more I warm to their personality, assuming they have one. Techmoan is who I'm thinking of here.

The channels that leave me cold are the ones where the tech is just a vehicle for the creator to get their face out there. Louis Rossmann is the exception to this rule, as his content is very diverse and I actually enjoy his non-tech content more than his tech stuff... and it seems like he accidentally fell into the non-tech content, so I'll give him a pass.

Well what do you know, LTT is pozzed. What a surprise.

Can't wait for them to start pumping out some ideological BS on the main channel that no one besides trannies wants, since if their writers are starting to spill their guts on Twitter, they most probably failed to acknowledge that going woke is bad for business.
I think Louis is mocking him rather than idolizing him. He used to mock how little views he gets on his videos, so, you know.
It could be just Anthony. Remember that he went full MATI powerlevel mode about Byuu a few months ago. And of course, his chonkyness that puts Ogr Maksim's chonkyness to shame. It's such a shame, when he avoids politics or social issues, he's the most informative of all the LMG staff, tech wise. While the others seem to be more pandering to little kids. Back when I was 14 I used to be more impressed by the other people on LTT, while today they look less informative, and more hip in an almost "how do you do fellow kids" way. And the channel seems to be very American-centric, and more focusing on tech trends, instead of actual tech. Or maybe it's just me who's being the sperg. And then when Anthony comes, he gives a better view on tech itself, instead of just the trends.
But alas, whenever he speaks on Twitter, he embarrasses himself and LMG. Why would tech channels have to care about politics that aren't related to tech, such as the net neutrality stuff, right to repair, and big tech starting to get their ass fucked by the EU? Even VWestlife only touched on the gay stuff maybe once, him being gay, and at the most just inserts some pro LGBT silent dog whistles from time to time, without compromising on the content quality.

lmfao, he freaked out about the Byuu "death"? Jesus what a sperg. What a goddamn shame that the most informed person in LMG is a tranny loving leftist tard. Though to be fair nowadays I only watch Gamers Nexus, since they know their shit, Steve is not annoying and has a classy sense of dry humor.

Everyone should've known Anthony was a sperg since he shills for linux and only autists use linux

Memeing aside, during one of the upgrade videos where he gets a VR setup, you can see he has a pile of pokemon (i think specifically eevee evolutions or whatever) plushies in his living room

Considering the popular copypasta and his autism about shit.
Im betting 12 bucks he fucks them

Ehh, to tell you the truth, I do not think he's THAT much of a weirdo. Pokemon is fairly mainstream, after all. It's not like he has plushies of some semi obscure anime, that was maybe popular in some region in Italy where a local TV aired it, or perhaps semi mainstream if Italia 7 affiliates aired it (Italian regional and local TV stations in the 80s and 90s aired a lot of anime, even lesser known anime). Everybody outside North Korea knows about Pokemon. But hey, you never know!
I really think that he should deal with the sperging urge by means of a sock puppet account, if he cares about not unnecessarily compromising LMG's image. It's probably a good thing that most LTT fans, if I am not mistaken, don't really follow the individual LMG members on Twitter.
