Electronics repair school - A guy who works in an electronics repair shop films his jobs repairing stuff from laptops to phones to TVs and everything in between and does some educational videos. If youtube was an anime this would be the wise old master that Louis Rossmann learned the art of repair from.

He clearly has deep knowledge of electronics and some of his repairs look like witchcraft, bringing laptops back to life with a soldering iron and a can of lighter fluid (I'm not joking). 99% of what he does is completely beyond my skill or comprehension but there is something satisfying about watching a master of his craft.

Eli the Computer Guy should be avoided at all costs unless you want to watch something that stopped being about tech 7 years ago and has devolved into near schizo rants.
He really needs to lay off the caps lock.

Well what do you know, LTT is pozzed. What a surprise.

Can't wait for them to start pumping out some ideological BS on the main channel that no one besides trannies wants, since if their writers are starting to spill their guts on Twitter, they most probably failed to acknowledge that going woke is bad for business.
Should I be worried that Louis Rossman keeps idolizing this weirdo?
I think Louis is mocking him rather than idolizing him. He used to mock how little views he gets on his videos, so, you know.

Jonathan Blow and Casey Muratori are both good resources if you care about learning how to write fast and reliable software. They're half based, half insane lolcows, and especially around JBlow there's always some new drama happening.

Two of my favourite hardcore vintage computer YouTubers are Adrian's Digital Basement and Noel's Retro Lab. They're both great at methodically diagnosing and fixing broken machines; Noel gets extra points for showing diagrams of chip pinouts and schematics on screen when he's probing around (but loses points for doing the retarded Linus face-pulling shit in many of his thumbnails). Bear in mind they both make a lot of C64 content, though it doesn't feel repetitive because so many things go wrong with C64s.

I hate Louis's series of rants on the china virus where he speaks but doesn't really say anything

I love how Carey Holzman dedicates at least half an hour in all of his videos to talking about "the trolls" and how much he totally doesn't care about them.

I've really gotten a lot from Ben Eater's channel over the years.

By far my favourite series he did is building an 8-bit breadboard computer, which I watched over about 1-2 months of lunch breaks, it really helped me understand a lot more about what's going on inside a CPU in its most basic form.

I think this is some of the best no-bullshit technical content on YouTube.

Does anyone know of a decent channel about scam/misleading tech? Computer Clan does some stuff about it but is mostly mac focused and has an unfortunate face that i feel takes away focus from the video topic.

This dude is such a cow himself, loves sucking up to anything Apple does and Steve Jobs could do no wrong. Blocks those who disagree.

Techmoan and 8-Bit Guy are great channels.

Great Scott! Makes some pretty interesting electronics engineering videos. What I like about him is that he draws out his circuit diagrams on paper as he goes along and is very thorough in his methodology and parts sourcing.

ExplainingComputers is a good channel. Boomer ex-university lecturer from England that makes videos that are great for noobs but don't insult the intelligence of more advanced users. He's made hundreds of videos covering hardware and software, but these days he tends to do a lot of SBC stuff.
