Feedback Technical Grievances

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
This isn't truly a problem, but there's a ton of cases where I see a guy named x whose liking posts, but when I click on the 'who liked this' button, it says nobody liked it, or it doesn't show his name if someone else liked the post.

I don't think banned users show up in the full list of reactions.
I'm not 100% sure but I think its because if a user gets banned and their account purged then XenForo will also purge the reacts they have given. Maybe this is a workaround so that even if a poster incurs the wrath of Dear Feeder then our precious Internet sticker count is not affected?

I'm basing this off of other implementations of the forum software I'm familiar with so I am probably out of date or wrong.

Banned users don't (necessarily) have their posts purged, so it might be something different.

When the forum width is set to wide, the crypto codes at the bottom are slightly wider than the browser window.

The font shrunk on me and when I reset it nothing happened.:\

This has happened before. But the base font is too small or my blind ass.

:!:Hey @Null :!: (or @ anyone else who develops for KF) :!: I have a feature idea for the site :!:

I know you are very busy, so I'll keep this as tight as a I can. Its very simple idea, but this feature could drastically improve the browsing experience on mobile for most people. This post is inspired by my real life experience on trying to read KiwiFarms on my phone, outside, during the day. Yes, some of us Kiwi's do go outside :lit:

So without further ado, here my idea is: Automatically switching site themes (between dark and light) to match device theme.

On all iPhones, and most Androids, they now have automatically switching day (white bg/black text) and night (black/grey bg, white text) across the whole base OS and base OS apps. (Even windows 10 has this now, albeit without the automatic switching based on time of day. but forget that, I'm focused on mobile right now.) Most 3rd party apps, and very few (in my experience) websites support this automatic switching. Where and when it works, it works beautifully, and vastly improves the user experience. It makes a for the perfect mobile reading experience, and would make a huge differenced to the clunky 4-6 click process it currently is to change the theme once, only to have to change it again everytime a outdoor-matching browsing experience is desired.

Thanks for your consideration. Just in case this isn't the right area for this post, and for the purposes of maximum exposure, I'm also making a full thread for this idea. Someone please let me know if I'm putting things in the wrong places.

I can't add any stickers other than 'like' on my profile. As per the screenshot below, highlighting 'like' seems to draw a frame which should be populated with other stickers, there's just fuckall to choose. This severely impacts my user experience as I cannot respond to the condolences for my dearly departed spaghetti dog avatar with a 'feels' sticker.

The javascript is broken on some browsers. There's a workaround I've discovered. Right click the Like and open it in a new tab. You know have a url in that tab ending in a 1, which is like. Edit the url and include the number for the react you actually want. Here's a list.

Tested it and it actually works, thanks a ton. What's puzzling with this one is that I have that issue only in the profile section, that means that it's the Erverlerd that fucked it up and it's not the browser's fault. And I am of course using the only browser endorsed by Kiwi Farms, Brave.

Metadata stripping? No clue, but how much of a problem is it really?

I don't know if this is the place for it but every time I insert a picture through a link it doesn't show up

But if I upload it straight from my PC its fine
