Feedback Technical Grievances

How is it that US ISPs keep caving in? Isn't the US the nation of freedom that is superior to other nations?

Edit: I expected Germany to block the farms by now. Keffals was in the mainstream newspapers in September. Even in Austria. Germany loves censorship but nothing happened about the farms. They try to get rid of telegram but not the farms?
It's because Europe has multiple Tier 1 ISP's as it has numerous separate countries that are combined the size of the United States whereas the US only has a handful as we developed our internet infrastructure as more or less a united continent. Additionally, the United States more or less pioneered the internet and has been on the cutting edge resulting in many universities supplying the tech employees for these ISPs. As such, they more or less know of each other, network, and probably belong to the same industry LGBT affinity group.

We have the same Tier 1 ISP's in Europe. They are the same companies no matter where you are in the world due to how the internet works, unfortunately.

In Europe we do have a stronger ISP community, in which peering is way more prevalent in the mix of connectivity the average ISP uses. For some reason, the old-skool let's share resources and knowledge attitude pre-pozloaded universities had, is still going strong at a bunch of European ISP's. Peering is a voluntary agreement between ISP's to exchange traffic cost-neutral, with both sides paying their own costs.

Kiwifarms stayed online in large parts in Europe during the total Tier 1 ISP trooning because a fuckload of ISP's in Europe are peering with Terrahost, and the traffic was not passing the Tier 1 ISP's anyways, but was exchanged in places like AMS-IX (Amsterdam Internet Exchange) and DE-CIX (Deutscher Commercial Internet Exchange). Organisations like AMS-IX and DE-CIX are provider neutral, and basically operate transparent infrastructure independent switching environments for providers to exchange traffic on.

This is extremely minor, but I've noticed that if you try to bring up the emotion cheatsheet in the reply box, it will only load a handful of them, and will instantly trigger a 429. I'm assuming its related, I'm not the most technical person.
It's a miracle the site is working as well as it is, considering, so much appreciation on that front.

I mentioned first on Telegram last night that, for some reason, I could not post on threads even though I was logged in. This was only on Brave as I was able to do post on Tor or using Proton VPN on my Android.
I've noticed intermittent reply/post problems. Error looks to be a timeout(408, so server side). Let's see if this one works.
Edit: Didn't work on Desktop Chrome or Firefox. Finally worked on iOS Brave. Looks like a 10 second timeout according to developer tools, 408 after 10.38 seconds.

Same problem here. It's not just posting in threads, but also voting in polls.

I couldn't connect via Clearnet, but I was able to complete tracert, and I was using Tor, where both the Onion and Clearnet address worked. However I found out that I can connect to the site through Clearnet but not in my main browser. It worked on Firefox and the incognito tab of my main browser, and then I figured out what was the issue.

It was the cookies.
I deleted the cookies and I was able to connect again.

So, if you can't connect over Clearnet but you can complete a tracert, try opening the site in incognito mode. If it opens there, delete cookies for Kiwi Farms and see if that worked.

EDIT: Also I couldn't post this message via Clearnet and had to use Tor.

For those having the clearnet issue of viewing not posting try flushing dns it worked for me when i did it last night.

Though I am getting database errors almost every other page.
I wonder if it was DNS issue with posting thanks
can only post from TOR : yes ,AT& T
read & login from both phone & computer . loving these cool tricks tech companies can do.

Ok, so the error is 408 "Your browser didn't send a complete request in time.". Web tools says it's sending the request so maybe one of the Anti-DDOS measures on the server side is blocking it.

I'm going to try posting this after resetting the Kiwifarms route to an MTU of 600 on my desktop. Let's see if that works.

Edit: post worked, now let's see if edit works.(worked)

Edit: now reset to default MTU (failed to post)

Edit: now back to 600(worked)

Yes, something fucky is afoot.

Flushing DNS didn't work, neither did clearing cookies. I haven't been able to post on Clearnet for a couple of days, without constantly trying. Sometimes it goes through. I had some things to say about the tranch but was afraid I'd end up posting 12 times in a row.

Site zips right along though, on Clearnet and on TOR. I managed a test post on my profile, but can't usually post on threads. I'm not sure I can post on TOR, let's find out with this post.

Yeah, I can respond quickly on TOR.

I get the 408 error while trying to post using a VPN, but disabling the VPN allows me to post. I'm not sure if it's a location thing or additional latency caused by any VPN.

I'm running into the same issue on clearnet. I can browse threads and react to posts no issue, but when I try to post I get a timeout.

Running a VPN fixes the issue and TOR is fine.

Also 5G Tmobile is kill unless a euro VPN is run.
Having this same issue, the site loads and works perfectly except when posting. I tried to flush the DNS but that didn't help.

Yeah, Tor is much faster than it used to be.

Same here, 408 timeout on Polish clearnet, TOR works.
