Do they? If I have to upload an mp3 I normally just put it in a mp4 container anyway because again, some browsers (phones, if I recall correctly) don't like to play them for some reason. Literally the same audio track copied into a mp4 container instead works just fine... I think it's actually just embedding the file as a <video> and that's why it doesn't work, for the same reason that m4a doesn't.And thank you again for telling me why it's not allowed. That said, why not add m4a to the list of formats embedded as <audio>, together with ogg and mp3?
That being said, I mean, it's probably doable if you don't mind the attachment being broken for some people.
