Feedback Technical Grievances

I use Orbot for iOS and it still hangs when trying the "check the robots" script. No proof of work. Am I the only one with that issue?

I think sometimes it's bad but your browser doesn't know this or for some reason the server doesn't accept it. So instead of getting the PoW page you just get nothing.

I know it loses the session credential when you restart entirely, because you always have to do another PoW.

Usually if you just directly connect to a page on the Farms without a session credential from a PoW, it immediately fails over to the url that gets you to the PoW page. But maybe sometimes it doesn't.

I've tested by copying the ddos pow cookie to a different session, and the server seems to have no issues with the request coming from a different circuit.

Issue:
I use Tor Browser on my 2 phones. (Im slowly migrating to the new one.) On one, the old one, i can open tor log in and browse kf with my profile.
On the other phone, i open tor, open kf, can browse kf without logging in, but as soon as i log in, it comes back with "Proxy refused connection" and i cant open kf until i close tor and reopen. And i still cant login from that phone.
Old phone = lg stylo 5 (cell and wifi signals work)
New phone = oneplus n20 5g (wifi signal only)

Trust the plan, bro. Back in May, Null said he'd get the site back up to clearnet in 2 weeks. The site is not up, therefore, two weeks have not passed.

We've been in constant court battles that still haven't ended since December 7th, 2020. There's also another one we're still fighting in since April 9th 2021

So, yeah, if you're right, we might be here a while

Also I’ve noticed if I leave it running for a few hours it slows way down and I have to connect a few times to get a fast connection. Tor is just slower in general. My Internet speed without a vpn is around 350 mps, with my regular vpn it’s anywhere from 250 to 12 depending on the country and with Orbot it’s between 10 and 1.5 or so.
Your connection might be too slow to do the proof of work before it times out.

This is a minor quibble, but when using Tor, I cannot save images or video clips from the forum, as the download will automatically fail. Is there some sort of security setting in Tor that is blocking downloads? I am trying to save the YWNBAW song by Foundring now that YouTube has taken it down as somebody uploaded it on here.

I know how to get there. The option is grayed out.
 
Attachments don't work even with desktop view on, please fix.
 
Been using Tor Browser under Linux for a while and my one remaining sticking point is still embedded videos. Has anyone been able to figure out a solution to videos like the one on the front page being unable to embed and instead displaying "No video with supported format and MIME type found"?

That's a Tor mobile problem that has been an issue since 2017 that the Tor devs refuse to fix. Complain to them.

You're probably missing a codec, install ffmpeg if you haven't already.

I've been getting that when the circuit is too shit to load the video metadata properly.

Everything I try to attach a thumbnail to a post it goes on and instantly disappears taking all the post formatting (including quote boxes) with it.
