Feedback Technical Grievances

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
Clearnet works fine for me. I'll switch around Mullvad servers. Sometimes a server is being weird but goes back to normal soon.

Couldn't get clearnet to work on stock, unmodified Waterfox G6.0.7, even though Brave, Edge and even Waterfox Classic could access it without problems. Managed to fix it by briefly disabling this, after which .hk loaded even with the option enabled:

Could it be that waterfox's DNS provider was blocking kiwifarms?

If your connection doesn't support IPv6 and runs on Cogent routes then the blackholing issue seems to happen.

My Amazon AWS private VPN has an IPv6 address and doesn't seem to suffer from it.
I checked and found out that my ISP doesn't support IPv6. Neither does any other, except for enterprise customers, and apparently IPv6 adoption has actually dropped the last few years in my country. What a shithole.

What I don't quite understand, shouldn't tor be not affected by the null routes?

I am no longer receiving notifications for watched threads. I checked that the thread I was watching is still listed as so, and while the thread has had 10+ posts in the last 24h, the last notification I got about it was two days ago. I did clear my notifications two days ago, so it's not the 'there may be more after this' behavior.

Try going to the end of the thread and re-loading, maybe the forum software thinks you aren't at the end?
No dice. But I toggled the watch button off then on again and it seems to be behaving correctly again now.

Am i the only one getting long long (hour plus) dead times? It's like the usual trouble times, with things going up and down, but down times are a looot longer. I mean is it server or network related?

You're gonna need to give a bit more info duder. TOR has been rock solid the entire time and honestly, it's like browsing clearnet. I'm impressed.
That aside, you'll need to send what domain you're trying to load, your ISP and stuff.
For what it's worth, i can't reccomend TOR enough. Download, run, login - it's just like normal except blazing fast unless you're on the "funny images" thread and some faggot decided to post 10 videos.

Can't say I've been experiencing too many troubles on the new domain. I run into the rare "Page could not be loaded", but aside from that it's working like it used to. I'm impressed this domain has lasted longer than the previous one.

Clearnet is still unreachable to me, probably because of Cognet fuckery. Accessing the site on Tor is highly erratic. It'll work well for a while, then drop out completely with a site unreachable notice, and then it'll come back after five or ten minutes.

Mobile Firefox and Tor browsers on three different networks, behind a vpn.

I can confirm some really weird, intermittent shitfuckery going on with Firefox.
It will randomly refuse to load anything KF related (.net and .hk), while other browsers work just fine.

Clearing the cache doesn't resolve it. A complete Windows reboot fixed it for me this time, eventhough restarting Firefox itself didn't. Will try to disable Secure DNS the next time it happens. It's on "Standard Protection" by default.

I can only assume the ddos protection is being continuously flooded down, or is classifying my source address as abusive.
I only get kiwifarms.hk once in 20 loads, all the rest time out.

Going to head to bed rather than have my F5's become a second ddos.

Still having this problem.
Should add some info since I realize now I gave hardly any:
- TOR mobile attachments and videos stopped working around when kiwifarms.st went live.
- I cleared cache and all site data, no change.
- Using firefox, consistently updated, but no issues with clearnet site.
- Disabling script blocking/ad blocking/tracker blocking completely has no effect.
- I have an Android device.

What could have changed the TOR version of the site during the switch from pl to st? Seems like it was in domain name only, and completely unrelated.
The mime type issue seems related to video metadata?
I would pin this on cruddy mobile browser, if it wasn't for the fact that kiwifarms.st works and TOR used to work until what seems like an event where a lot of things might get broken.
I think I figured something out. Whenever I visit the link to an attachment directly kiwiflare for
https://uploads.kiwifarmsaaf4t2h7gc3dfc5ojhmqruw2nit3uejrpiagrxeuxiyxcyd.onion/data/
comes up.
Maybe kiwiflare is somehow preventing these attachments from loading?

CONFIRMED!!!
After solving the uploads subdomain challenge attachments and avatars load again!! I hope this can be automated eventually.

This seems to also be happening to the invidious instance, but I can't get any links so there is no way for me to induce it.
