Feedback Technical Grievances

I have sent to them a complaint regarding a false positives on the website, hopefully there are non-trannies who decide what is and isn't malware. :optimistic::optimistic::optimistic::optimistic::optimistic::optimistic:though.
I'm pretty sure it's not a wrongthink thing but just related to the (entirely voluntary) cryptominer the site had years ago, that you could turn off or even set from 1-100% on a graphical control setting. Literally the model for such a thing. Crypto sites in general often get blocked.

There's some autistic piece of shit who runs one of these blacklists that is constantly adding them back.

Saw this error in chat, so I'm reporting it as ordered. 1639264338224.png

This is a technical issue for lolcow.tv

I tried to create an account with my name JannHörn and it said accented letters were allowed but the account creation would not allow for an ö.

More of a minor QoL suggestion than a technical grievance but prob not worth a thread :
Would it be possible to set the Community Happenings button at the top of the homepage to go to last read rather than the first page? Same way it works when clicking on thread titles anywhere else.

There is an issue I've noticed and I'm not exactly sure what causes it. Occasionally, when you use the mobile version and open a spoiler and/or zoom in, the page would scroll up or down on its own. It's not critical, but having to scroll back is a bit annoying.

Is there a workaround for the on-site videos only loading the first second then dying?

For me it works when I load them in a new tab.
I tried that, unfortunately got the same result. Sometimes saving directly works but not today. I've tried new tab, saving directly, adblock on/off, using kiwifarms.ru, a different browser but no luck. My connection is pretty good too so it can't be that.
Quite the conundrum.

I thought this was just me, its driving me nuts. It would also be really nice to have the scroll arrows at the bottom back to help mitigate this issue.

Strongly considering making threads which are actively featured locked except to users who have previously made a post in that thread (and maybe Senior users).
Would suggest also adding if you hyperlink on site wide shared picture/video also. At least for a few days. (Not that it happened, but like the king cobra link recently)

I genuinely enjoy reading the features, however if I am late to read it/it was featured early the comments tend to be spam/shit.

I used to be able to edit posts in chat and now I can't. But PhoBingas can. I would like to be able to edit the posts in chat.

I'm sorry--problem no longer seems to be happening.

I've noticed that some featured content seems to just randomly pop up in the box days after the time it was supposedly featured. Like today, the HasanAbi feature did not show up in the box until earlier, but it says it was featured on Tuesday.

I'm pretty sure something similar happened recently, but I figured I was just crazy. Maybe it's just me.

Page 818 of this thread only has 2 posts on it:

A bunch of post numbers are missing (based on the thread post index, not the global post ID). I'm pretty sure that normally when posts are deleted/moved they just disappear and the other posts rearrange to fill the page, so are there a bunch of posts that are just invisible or something?

Could it have been because a post from a watched thread was quoted in another thread? That happened to me once.
No, the post made no reference to me or any posts I made. Besides, when quoted the notification specifies that you were quoted or mentioned, not that a watched thread has been updated.

What I meant was that somebody in the unwatched thread could have quoted a random post (not yours) from the watched thread for some reason and it showed up in your notifications as if it were an update to a (not "the") watched thread.

That's what happened to me earlier this year. If there isn't a post quoted from the watched thread, then I really have no idea.

No quotes, just embedded links to other pages.
