Feedback Technical Grievances

I still can’t get past the DDOS screen on my iPhone 6, on any browser. I’m not complaining, the site is smooth af but if there’s any fix anybody can think of it’d be appreciated.

There seem to be occasional brief delays in loading some pages or giving stickers, but I assume that's from some mitigated DDoS attack.

ETA: Looks like the DDoS is ramping up. Getting some 503 errors.

The site seems to be running the best it ever has on laptop, but I can't get past the DDOS check on my phone on any browser. Brave will just just stay at the 'checking for robots' screen forever, and other browsers won't even load that much. Anything I could do to resolve this?
I have this same issue but on my iPad. My anroid phone works fine so is this like an apple thing?

Weird. My ipad is fine, but still no luck with iPhone. Its not the end of the world that I can’t talk about Chris Chan between sets at the gym, but the option would be nice.

Having the same problem. Can't get to the site on my iPad regardless of browser (sticks on the "Hold on... checking your browser for robots" screen) and can't get to it using Safari on my computer but can using Chrome.

If you're not already, make sure you're using Google DNS servers. You'll have to go into your WiFi settings and manually add the addresses. I recommend adding all 4.

(IPv4):
8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

(IPv6):
2001:4860:4860::8888
2001:4860:4860::8844

Also, try clearing history and website data in Safari settings. It should work just fine.

Same on android. I thought it was my VPN blocking it or my VPN's custom DNS doing it. But even on regular cell service, just stalls on the DDOS screen.

Using Bromite btw. Cleared cache for the site as well.

I was using Quad9 and didn't make a difference.

I tried this but no luck, I'll keep experimenting and try to match the settings I have on my ipad.

URL Forwarding for https://lolcow.email to https://www.lolcow.email needs to be set back up.
Thanks for this tip, I thought my VPN was completely blocking lolcow.email. Also, while https://lolcow.email won't work on clearnet, its working just fine on TOR Browser for some reason.

Another thing I noticed about lolcow.email is that the 2FA settings are kinda junky, its missing both the QR code (even though the button to show it is there) and also the backup codes. I believe its something Josh should look into it whenever he's done dealing with the most important matters.

I was stuck on the DDOS screen as well on my iPad. I updated my iOS and now the site works.

Given these are both related to Apple and/or older devices or software version, this is either
a) they are just very slow
b) their browser lacks WebAssembly support (given it started working after an IOS update, probably this)

Recent versions of the bot check page, haproxy-protection, should show an error for basic thing such as lacking WebASM support or failure to submit the bot-check response. Hopefully that helps.

Open an issue on the gitgud repo if you have any problems (with a description better than just "it don't work").
