Feedback Technical Grievances

Can't access the site on clearnet; currently on Tor. Maybe Ben Collins is freaking out and this is his last stand.

for fucks sake. If this is brickface again...

Anyways tors too slow for me, So I'll see you when I see you!

Looks like the DNS servers aren't responding. The correct entries are in the DNS roots and whois, so it doesn't look like a seizure. Maybe a DDOS attack against DNS.
The DNS servers themselves are hosted with terrahost but not on the same subnet as the farms.
For the moment, this seems to work:
103.114.191.1 uploads.kiwifarms.net kiwifarms.net no-cookie.kiwifarms.net

Clearnet is down in multiple countries. I changed Mullvad VPN locations to different US locations, Sweden, and Switzerland, and KF doesn't connect. Turning off the VPN and refreshing the page doesn't work either.

How does one do this?
windows\system32\drivers\etc
There's a file named hosts there, it is write protected so right click and remove that. Then drag it into notepad and add
103.114.191.1 kiwifarms.net
103.114.191.1 uploads.kiwifarms.net
103.114.191.1 no-cookie.kiwifarms.net

edit: stole that from davids877 post up above.

Save the file. Now kiwifarms.net redirects to that ip address without consulting a DNS server. Just remember that you edited the hosts file.

And I am back. Thanks!

If anyone has trouble saving the hosts file in Windows, click Start, then Windows Accessories, then right-click Notepad, More, Run as Administrator. Click Yes when the UAT pop-up shows up. Then click File, Open..., navigate to Windows\System32\drivers\etc, change the filetype filter from "Text documents (*.txt)" to "All files (*.*)", then open hosts. You'll then be able to save.

You might also need to edit the permissions on the host file... I had too!

What does that mean? Is the domain seized or something?
I don't think it was seized. It's some other fuckery.

For example, checking the most basic information on the DNS records using ICANN | Lookup, you can see it says clientTransferProhibited. This status is usually reserved for issues related to domain hijacking, at least in my experience.

This entry worked on my Mac Mini, though the procedure to get there was a bit different.

This is what allowed me to get back on my standard browser. Thanks guys!
