Better yet: as soon as this blows over, revert it.Just remember that you did it, future problems caused by an edited host file can be hard to figure out if you don't remember messing with it that one night ~2 years ago.

Any way of commenting out the domains in the file so that we can save it in case this happens again?Better yet: as soon as this blows over, revert it.

Could this schizo have anything to do with this?there's a good chance jersh just fucked up his network config, kiwifarms.net shows no DNS records but there's a new host called Veilios at 103.114.191.1 (kiwifarms's IP) that literally just showed up: https://bgp.tools/prefix/103.114.191.0/24#connectivity (A)
Not particularly, if that was the case you would not be able to connect to the IP at all. The issue here is just DNS.Can that be what's going on?
God this guy is STILL going?Could this schizo have anything to do with this?
/etc/hosts
and add the following to it, basically the same as for Windows:103.114.191.1 kiwifarms.net
103.114.191.1 uploads.kiwifarms.net
103.114.191.1 no-cookie.kiwifarms.net
clientTransferProhibited just indicates the domain ownership cannot be transferred between domain registrars (companies), literally every site has it set. Although I'm not a network engineer or know anything greatly knowledgeable like that, I have seen it on most domains I've looked up so it would make sense it's mostly normal as a basic security measure.I don't think it was seized. It's some other fuckery.
For example, checking the most basic information on the DNS records using ICANN | Lookup, you can see it says clientTransferProhibited. This status is usually reserved for issues related to domain hijacking, at least in my experience.
I noticed that when I was troubleshooting the errors yesterday; that upstream connection has been there since then at least. I'm fairly sure that all of my requests have been routing through terra even since yesterday when I posted and even though its supposedly an American network, so idk what its doing or why its here. If that peer is not doing much then that might be funny considering the following call-to-arms might just not be so fruitful:there's a good chance jersh just fucked up his network config, kiwifarms.net shows no DNS records but there's a new host called Veilios at 103.114.191.1 (kiwifarms's IP) that literally just showed up: https://bgp.tools/prefix/103.114.191.0/24#connectivity (A)

John Sneer? I doubt he has the expertise or the connections to pull this off.Could this schizo have anything to do with this?

Or he forgot to pay his DNS bill.John Sneer? I doubt he has the expertise or the connections to pull this off.
I'm hoping this is just Nool tinkering with the site and (figuratively) unplugging something by mistake.
Yeah, I'm back on via Mullvad now. Wonder if it was something on Terrahost's endweird. I’m on mobile and logged in as normal without any extra steps. Haven’t really noticed anything amiss except a few random timeouts hours ago.
Man, the site was so fast when there weren't any users on it.DNS seems to be working again?
It usually not on it's own, for example with Flickr you can see it has a few other statutes as well.clientTransferProhibited just indicates the domain ownership cannot be transferred between domain registrars (companies), literally every site has it set.
