Feedback Technical Grievances

Fuck I'm not going to fight trying to edit that fucking comment above any more than I have for the last several attempts. Is it time to break out the Telegram thread again? Like I said I can barely post my feedback in this thread *due* to technical grievances.

Also should that "A cryptographic (?) captcha is being solved automatically by your browser" screen appear between every page load once you're already on the site? If so, then ok but if not then I'm getting it constantly

I can phone phonepost over clearnet on Android just fine.

However on my tablet, running Windows 10 64 bit with Chrome over clearnet, there is no Reply box. There is a reply button which takes me to another page where all I can do is attach a file and hit reply.

There is no quote button. If I try to rate a post, it goes to another page and gives me only "Like" as an option and asks me "Are you sure you want to apply this reaction?" like I'm a sped who can't be trusted with post ratings.

I tried logging out and logging back in. This is over a Verizon Hotspot via phone, but I *think* it was happening at home when my tablet was on home Spectrum wifi.

I have no mouth and I must sneed!

I rarely experience the KiwiFlare error but I notice if it happens, it fixes if I close all kiwifarms.net tabs and reopen them. There's something weird about the way cookies are being set.

Clear your cache, to both. I'm not sure why the webserver sends blank files out sometimes for .js or why these get fucking cached but it's annoying.

Ctrl F5 has not been fixing it on clearnet. But it clears up on its own after a while. Or it works just fine over Tor with the clearnet url.

The chat also does this during the error.

Also for those having issues I've found that if you close the tab and wait about 10 minutes and come back it works fine.

amusingly I can never get past that message above on Brave via Tor for reasons I have never bothered to work out.

edit: oh, it's probably this:

yup, allowing the unsafe script got me in, I'm even more reTORded now.

probably because "onion" sites are technically listed as "not secure" for some reason I can't be arsed to remember.
Yup, they apparently upgraded it from "dunno if fix" to chrischan "I'M WORKIN ON IT." (No one is working on it.)

Caught the sucker! This didn't happen from a hardcoded link, I refreshed the page after being AFK for 4 hours and it did the Kiwiflare check before letting me in. Tor browser, onion URL, over VPN.

I'M NOT CRAZY YOU'RE CRAZY
this is NOT kiwiflare! that's the other thing that kiwiflare was built off of, but it is the onion equivalent.

if it doesn't say DDOS RETARD it's not Kiwiflare™

for reTORds on Brave you can go to site settings and turn on insecure content and then the not-kiwiflare thing works fine without having to click.

Almost all images are now completely fucked for me. Cannot access the site at all on clearnet mobile (tablet, not phone; it loads infinitely and sometimes says there was a fetch error), can access on PC but every single thumbnail does not work (save for one or two avatars every thread page that seem totally random), I am getting 500s saying "the connection was reset" every time I try to open them in a new tab, and the site periodically completely breaks formatting (either to pure html or that weird halfway thing where the background is fine and the links are colored but everything else is a mess) and I'm getting "page could not be loaded"s every other click. Still on clearnet Ungoogled Chrome without a VPN.

As of now I've also had the Just a Moment page fail me twice (both times saying it was a fetch error; reloading fixed it) and infinitely load (on mobile this time) thrice.

dunno what to tell you. i'm actively using the site on the American frontend. Watching videos, doing moderator work. Close all tabs, open kiwifarms.net, ctrl+f5.

Had a moment where the page formatting was absolutely fucked and I encountered a few "Page could not be loaded". Seems to be fine for the time being...

Site is breaking
Either infinitely loads or loads like this
Not sure this'll go through as attach files button kept 500ing
edit after site unborked: this was after I ctrl + f5d. What's the difference between doing that and just reloading as normal btw? Both (with ctrl and not) seemed to do nothing until Null fixed whatever happened

when this happens right click and do inspect element or whatever it is, and look for something like sources, I bet whatever is fucked is preventing css,

I see three domains, the bare onion, no-cookie, and uploads; all three might be behind various protection and if the one serving CSS fails, you get that.

i wish I could cache the CSS super hard, but I see things like css.php?css=public and I bet that doesn't cache well

I'm unable to use a bunch of the site due to ajax requests all going through the kiwiflare JS challenge. Clearing cache/cookies didn't help and I'm encountering the issue in multiple browsers.

Trying to view notifications, react to posts, etc. all return the JS challenge page instead of whatever payload it was expecting.

Close all tabs. Open Kiwi Farms. Pass challenge.

There is a weird cookie setting error. The session has to be restarted if you get caught in this.
