Video embedding is just not working. I'm getting the usual "failed to upload contact a system administrator or try again", and it's not unusual to just reload multiple times to try to get it. However, I've been at it for over a hour now despite nothing being different from previous clips I've uploaded before.

Edit: the moment I complain, it works. Your site works on black magic and Voodoo. 0/10 hire better witch doctors. I'm going to edit this post with a complaint each time it happens to keep tricking your shamans. Things not working again please fix.

When I open the file in GIMP every layer (frame) name has an "(!)" tacked on, which I assume is implying that there's some kind of metadata error. But, unlike my browser, it plays back the image correctly, and exporting to GIF "fixes" it.

I assume like was previously suggested it's an ImageMagick bug, one that was probably fixed in an update that will probably break everything if you just replace it, so it's safest just to leave things broken the way they are currently...

For small 'fixes' you can use like cloudconvert or a similar site. Convert to like APNG then back to GIF. No idea if this fixes the GIF issue but it's a way to 'clean up' files.

I'm getting the same with new posts not loading. Everything else is fine.

Once the embedding converted to invidious I've not been able to get a video to properly embed in any of my posts. Has anyone been able to fix this?
 
When you delete a post, it sucks that now for some reason deleting the post takes you back to the front page instead of just deleting the post and taking you back to the thread.

Fix: just right click on the delete button. Then it takes that back to the front page but not the page you're still reading.

What about phone users?
 
I have not received reply-to-post notifications in the past days, I went to the configuration and they are all active.

I don't get notified of replies even on threads I watch.

you can still do that by copying the react url, pasting it in your browsers url field, and manually changing the reaction_id to the one of the reaction you want to apply before hitting enter
not sure why the regular way to do it (the popup menu on hovering the like button) is gone though

Too many photos online are in WEBP now and it would be very convenient to just attach and embed them like the older formats.

All browsers support WEBP now, I see no reason to avoid it.

IIRC Josh can't easily support it because XenForo is gay.
