Ted K lives a life of almost complete seclusion in a simple wooden cabin in the mountains of Montana. But then this former university professor, who despises modern society and its faith in technology, becomes radicalized. What begins with local acts of sabotage, ends with deadly bomb attacks. To the outside world, Ted K becomes known as the Unabomber. Based on Ted Kaczynski's diaries and writings, Tony Stone's film is a kaleidoscopic true crime journey into the life of one of America's most complex and eccentric killers. It features a tour-de-force performance from Sharlto Copley who portrays the complexity of this unique outsider, raging at the forces of both the inescapable technological society that plagues him and his own inner demons.

Nice, very nice. It's out, so hoist the sails, if you wanna see it.

This sounds interesting, thank you for sharing! Now I have to figure out how to hoist my sails since I've never done it.

Watched it last saturday. It was pretty meh, could have been a lot better. Sharlto was "very okay", but the movie could have been a lot more interesting. Easily 3/5.

I will watch this only if Uncle Ted gets generous royalties for it, as he should.

Anyone who has seen it does it spend much time on what was done to him by the CIA long before he started down this path? Because if not, this movie isn't fair to him.

I'm most of the way through. Enjoying it as a light comedy.

My complaints:
  1. it doesn't really look deeply at Ted's motivations
  2. it doesn't even touch once on his torture by the American empire through MKULTRA
  3. while making an overture towards period-correctness, it uses modern construction and forestry equipment and helicopters in place of period gear. This isn't too bad, doesn't detract from the enjoyment too much
