Fuck your writing Harada.

Also just a rewind of Jun, no awooga for me :/

Tekken 8's customization...looks actually worse than 7's. How?! I gotta be honest: Reina is starting to show red flags for this game.

>Brings back Lucky Chole, objectively the worst character in 7's roster
>Won't bring back Lidia or Josie (objectively the best girls in 7) outside of DLC, which even then isn't a gurantee

What is it with fighting game directors and making retarded decisions in the past decade? Only SCVI managed to do something smart by making 2B a guest character and making that awesome character editor and that game just didn't sell so we probably won't get another one till the end of the decade.
Chloe will probably come back as a season pass disc-locked character with more shitty collab characters and the rest of the roster. The thing I hated about Chloe was Harada intentionally spat on Tekken and Gordo fans by having Chloe humiliate Eddy in both of their endings. Eddy and Christie deserved so much better. I still stand by my autistic post that Tekken 7 is the second worst Tekken in the fgc thread. Thank god Tekken 8 is remembering the character stories from 5 and 6 before Tag 2 and 7 took a giant shit on them. Sorry, but Josie was a shitty character out of Bruce with tits. Honestly, I hate Chloe, Gigas, and Katerina, yet I hate Noctis even more because that faggot and Negan didn't even fit in Tekken 7 (He was only added to push shitty FF15 because Squeenix forced that game on everyone). I hate guest characters in general, and I hope to god Tekken 8 doesn't go full retard with that shit.

Oh yea, fuck Harada for bending the knee to sjws and Peta by not putting Roger/Roger Jr. or even Alex in Tekken 7.

Agreed. Azucena and Reina convinced me that Bamco learned absolutely nothing from its previous disaster.
I'm still iffy with what they did to Nina, and I don't even use Nina. Azu isn't too bad, but Reina...I don't know. I know Harada will ruin her with some retarded writing. Let's be honest: there hasn't been a good Tekken character since Christie and Marduk (Steve was ok, but he had no character out of British Boxer). I'll take Azu over Shaheen, the ESG/Saudi-pandering character even Arabs don't give a fuck about.

Reminder that Harada made Jin a dindu, misunderstood bad guy who sacrificed people to stop an evil blue chicken for no reason. Another reminder Heihachi became a dindu, misunderstood bad guy in Tekken 7 despite he was an asshole in every game (remember when he tried to sacrifice Michelle to Ogre? How he treated Lee like trash?).

Tekken 7 is such a mistake of a game, you can download a 3 MB zip file to change the UE engine in a way to unlock all the DLCs because it was preinstalled behind a lock.png.

Harada is a fucking jew and i will buy Tekken 8 as cheap as possible because i need my online-mode addiction. (i am also hyped what will happen to Jun now, since Harada denied her head was being cut off in the Tekken 3 intro.)
So much shit got rewritten after 3. Ogre was supposed to kill a couple of people from older Tekken games, but all he did was kill the first King (Bruce did his own thing as a mercenary, Lee made his own harem and company, and Kunimitsu became a wagie). I won't be surprised if Harada changes the first King's death.

Long sperging ahead.

Okay, I hate to be that person but...

Super unpopular opinion I guess but I always kinda roll my eyes when people bring this up. I get people feel strongly about this but you gotta remember, that serious characters getting silly endings aren't new. Eddy is just another example. His ending isn't even that bad tbh.

Remember, Lars' ending in TTT2 was him having a weird dramatic family dinner with the Mishima / Kazama clan including Jun, whom he hasn't even met.

There's Lee playing golf with Heihachi, Jin and Kaz strapped to a rocket. There's Dragonov building his own Alisa and blowing up his own office. There's Heihachi trying to reverse his aging and turning himself into a bear. There's Steve fighting with Paul and Law over who gets to use the toilet first.

And so on and so forth.

There are plenty of other actual reasons to hate Chloe still. Like how she's an annoying waifu bait character with a cringe voice and irritating mannerisms that speaks broken English. Or how she's fucking weird when you consider Harada's Idolmaster obsession, particularly this jailbait character.

I get that since Mortal Kombat and Tekken 7 to a lesser extent have poisened the well.

There is an art to it however and it can be done well. It doesn't all have to be cringe marketting and capeshit. Remember, Samurai Shodown 2019 had a Last Blade character as a guest and Last Blade hasdn't gotten a new game since 2006.

I mean...not really because we got two bears. Once of which being from a species of endangered animals.

Honestly I think it's less Steve's fault. He got a lot going for him, being Nina's son and being experimented on by the Zaibatsu. It's just that he's severely underutilized so we can get more Kazama / Mishima soap opera episodes.

Remember, Miguel had his whole stick being about revenge against Jin for killing his sister on her wedding day but nothing is done about that either.

Tekken and Harada really have this horrid habit of underutilizing compelling characters. Asuka got healing powers according to Tekken 5 apparently but fuck all is done about that as well so she can have more lesbo bait with Lili.
Tekken has always been full anime. For better and, as the series progressed, increasingly for worse.

Edit:
Oh god. Well at least, Jin woke up from his fucking nap in Tekken 7.

Also, I will always be on the side that this is the worst design Lee has gotten ever. I know there's a story reason behind it but it still looks awful.

Zafina’s squid punch has been changed so that it’s done out of SCR now, which means she now has zero noteworthy standing lows. At least her carry seems better.

Yea, that's pretty much the point of Tekken here. It's over-the-top anime aesthetic has been noticeable within every title.
You could make the point that Jin looks so anime, it's almost stereotypical. And he's hardly changed appearance since his debut in Tekken 3. He still got the scowl, the hair, the dark clothing, the constant brooding.

He's so anime, it hurts.

The massive Kazuya nerfs and now Zafina... Harada really wants me main one of his shitty newcomers huh?

Ok, I'm not going to lie: The story mode looks really cringy, and it doesn't look that great. I think I'm gonna wait to see how Tekken 8 turns out next year before I throw my money at it. I got a bad feeling the season pass disc-locked content.

To keep the autism to a minimum:

Chloe was just a giant fuck you from Harada now matter how you look at it. I get your point with the Tag endings, but Tag isn't supposed to be a part of the storyline. The story has been full fucktard since Harada took over, made it about the Mishimas and Kazamas with his and Mike's self-insertions (I think Lars is Mike's Gary Stu). The thing is he teased how Chloe was going to have a big part in Tekken 7 to prove haters wrong, and...she didn't do shit out of emasculating Eddie. Eddie and Christie still didn't deserve it after what we've seen in Tekken 3-6 because despite the goofy endings they were one of the few with serious endings because of their connections to the Mishimas.[/quote]

But SNK wasn't better with SamSho. You had a faggot from a Chinese gacha game and another faggot from that shitty Ubi game no one played after "1 season." SNK promised season 2's dlc would be players loved from the series (well, the Japanese because fuck the West), but then we got Warden, Baiken, and that gacha faggot. Baiken was a wasted slot. I hate guest characters because it's lazy af, they usually don't fit in, and they're just going to be copyright Hell in the near future (see DoA and TvC).

I mean...not really because we got two bears. Once of which being from a species of endangered animals.
Harada still bent the knee, and I will always criticize Harada as much I criticized Ono even if I'm wrong. Harada and Mike Murray are not immune to criticism (ask me how I triggered Mike Murray years ago).

Agreed. Like I more or less said, every character after 4 sucked. Asuka was supposed to be connected to Jun, but then we got into the lesbian shit with Lili. Lili and her fans are cancer.

Hopefully this isn't like Tekken 7 where 1 hit leads to a wall carry combo and then you have to guess right or get killed when you stand up. The FGC getting to design games has lead them to mistake Marvel Vs Capcom 2 as the style to clone and back and forth with smaller combos and special moves don't exist any more. Killer instinct died and no one is learning the lesson.

That's the thing, the anime aesthetic is so weird and uncanny within every game since then. Just like a typical jaded obsessed manchild weeb, the devs are really obsessed with that Jap design that it's creepy

What's next, the modern day shitty adult animated aesthetic similar to the likes of Matt Groening or Seth MacFarlane?
