Managed to make it to Assailant, but this is brutal. Victor and Jun just delete me, everyone else starts pulling some bullshit out their asses. Still getting used to the 3D aspect of the game. But its fun.

How am I still getting 5 bar amatches with 2 frames rollback the entire set? The visual jitter is putting me on suicide watch. Made it to Shiryu with Drag and King but might put the game down online untill they fix the netcode.

System is not even close to sweating playing the game so it's not that either.

Any ideas what's causing this or any of you Kiwi's had any method to improve the netcode experience?

Low ranks in these games are just everyone doing their gimmick and seeing who passes and who fails the knowledge check.

You can probably get to red rank just by pressing a move that's +5 on block and then doing a launcher after it to do a 40% combo. Either that or just playing a character who has a low > mid string and pressing that 500 times.

In my experience almost no one in this game will rematch during ranked.

I still can't buy the game on principle, but since I'm near an "arcade" that might have this game I'll try it out while I'm still near this place (It has other things you can do besides play shitty fighting games). It just sucks the dlc and season passes are going to be slimy af because that's the only thing preventing me from buying it (I can understand newer characters, but not a fucking charactersthat was in T7's day-one release like Eddy or older characters I had access to in other games like AK and possible Anna). The customization is...still lacking despite all the shit people have made. Yea, it's great I can make Jack into a Getter Robo with some creativity, but it still doesn't top Tekken 5 and 6's stuff.

Anyway, for any tier fags out there, it seems like Jun is in her own league because according to pros, she has no real weaknesses and her shit has good homing and frame advantages (Which is why DSP is spamming her). Too bad only a few people use her because today's players never played the older Tekken games, and the older fans either left the series or stopped caring about Jun and the others. The rest of the tops are more or less Azucena and Dragunov. Jack 8 is supposed to be good, but no one really uses him.

From what I heard he has some kind of combo damage scaling bug so he is doing insane damage in combos. I think it was on an Aris stream.
The bug is that he gets a guaranteed unscaled follow up hit after certain knockdowns so he gets to add a free 30 damage to the end of his combos.

i have a long history with this series. played Tekken 2 on the original PlayStation (fuck im old) at a friends house. the game must have left quite the impression since i begged my dad to get it for me but he ended up buying the first game lol. got the second one soon after and played the ever loving shit out of it. i still have the CD with the girls wearing bikinis.

got Tekken 3 when it came out and it is probably my favorite fighting game of all time. me and my dad used to play so much of it back then. i was an Eddie shiter while he was a King enjoyer. i remember it having so many fun mods like Tekken force and the beach volley ball mini-game. it was also the last game i played on a Arcade machine. got tekken 4 and while it was vastly different, i remember liking it. the more down to earth realistic tune in the story was refreshing and was the last game where alot of veteran characters had a serious character arc before they were turned into complete jokes (looking at you Paul and King).

played a tiny bit of Tekken 5 but at that point, i was burned out by the series. never played 6 but did play a bit of 7 at a friends house last year. it was fun but getting into fighting games is a commitment and i just dont have the time for it. hope you having fun frends.

oh, and i was a Marshall law main in Tekken 2 and 4 since i was a big Bruce Lee fan back then.

I was interested in this game at first but then saw it has those annoying cutscene attacks similar to mortal kombats xray moves. No thank you. I like my fighting games fast paced and not having to wait for an 10 second attack animation to end while I'm trying to play. I'll stick with the original Tekken Tag Tournament and MK4.

It's true the wait for those are annoying. And the bounce juggle extender makes it so you can piss while he finishes the combo and still be in the air when you get back. Tekken 8 is fun but man do I miss more defensive Tekken. I enjoyed rushdown chars the most but when everyone is rushdown, no one is rushdown.

Oh joy, it's the Capcom 2D "vs" games all over again.

Don't get me wrong it is fun as hell. But the amount of time during loss of control is frustrating. Very frustrating. There shouldn't be such downtime from fighting. The supers animation and the air juggle extender into wall break into another extender and you're juggled for like 10 seconds.

It's the reason I main Paul. No long ass ridiculous combos just punch real hard and win.
